LET'S GET OUR HAIR & NAIL ON!

Oscar wanted to do something to cheer up both himself and Vee, both having suffered some awkward and bad break-ups and post-break-up encounters. Oscar was feeling really unsure of himself, and he knew Vee had been on the receiving end of some bullying through the anon post. Also, not through the anon post. So, he thought a fun girls night would be the temporary cure to their collective sadness.

He had employed the services of Laurel for a) doing Vee's nails correctly and b) teaching Oz how to do it. He didn't mind at all that it may come off... less than masculine. He just wanted to have fun. Around five, armed with some banned substances and a lot of snacks which are also technically banned from cabins, Oscar covertly makes his way to pick up Vee and then head over to Laurel's cabin.

On his way to pick up Vee, Oscar runs into Chris along the way. Wondering why the hell Oscar is carrying snacks and what looks like sparkly nail polish and hair ties, Chris asks whats up and Oz clues him in on the whole thing. Admitting it's his birthday, Oscar tells him Happy Birthday and invites him over, too!

HOW THIS WORKS

• Anyone in the senior girls Azurcrest cabin is invited to join them. Or kick them out. **Since this is kind of turning into a bday party too, please let me know if I should have this held at another cabin. Anyone want to offer a cabin!?


• Oscar makes sure to get Vee and himself back to their respective cabins before curfew.


• If you want to be involved, join in! It's reasonable to assume that Oscar told anyone who asked what he was up to. CURRENT GUEST LIST Quinn, Mercy, Dru, and Etta were obviously all invited + Sylla, Clem, Nia, Rosy, Riley, Addy, Sofia, Chris, Issy, Ty, Levi + possibly more to come

» Hair Styling: Where is Chris to teach Oscar how to braid, man? Guess he'll just have to learn from Laurel & Vee!

Oscar is staring at all the nail polish. They look like tiny paintbrushes which he finds adorable, and he's trying to pick out a color. "Guys what's my color?" He turns around, holding several different nail colors. "I want it to read fun but not too much fun, you know?"

What? You can never have too much fun. "How about a different color on each finger?" Etta suggests, reaching for the acetone so she can remove the (now very chipped) orchid pink polish she wore to prom.

Quinn (Kinda, Sorta, Not Really, At Least Not Yet)

Quinn's sitting in her bunk when the party parade begins to arrive. She's dressed to impress in red running shorts and a white Toronto Blue Jays t-shirt, and her comforter's covered with notebooks, textbooks, papers, charts, stationary, and a wall calendar. She's catching up on the library time that was lost thanks to prom and the sophomore quidditch match. Her task? To make her finals study schedule. It's as intense as it looks.

Even so, celebrating Chris' birthday with more than the requisite owl does sound like an appealing way to wind down. As she grabs her iPod from her desk and begins back up her ladder, she turns to Oscar and Vee. "I'll come down when you start the games." She points at the snacks after a pause, "And make sure those are cleaned up when you're done. We don't need anymore bears."

With that, she sticks her earbuds in and disappears back up to the wonderful world of schoolwork.

Quinn + Oscar

Oscar is not opposed to someone not joining in because they want to study. He has, too, actually been studying. He's here on scholarship, like a lot of other students and he needed to fight to keep it. However, he had specifically reserved this time for this get together. It's the only reason he is not studying. So, there's no judgement on his end.

"I promise to clean everything up and I will come get you when we're done glamming up so you can play games!" With that, he lets her get back to studying!

Braid central right? Oscar kind of wants to learn how to do hair. Maybe he can help his baby sister do her hair, even though she's not a baby and will be a sophomore next year and would probably kill him for trying. Or maybe he can braid Vee's hair and help fix it up other ways, which is kind of the point of this whole thing.

While she's no braid expert like Nia, Vee still knows what to do with a braid and a select few other styles. Her mom was a very good teacher.

"Hmm, what shall we do with your hair, Mr Oz?" she wonders with a playful smirk, tugging at his short locks gently.

Mani-pedis and braiding hair aren't usually Quinn's idea of 'fun,' but luckily, drinking games are! Work done (for now), she contributes half a bottle of Jack Daniel's to the pool and drops onto a throw pillow on the floor.
