PICK-UP QUIDDITCH GAME
HOW THIS WORKS
- Captains are chosen by drawing straws. Short straws are the captains, and ironically, by rng, Chris and Sy are the captains for the first game. From there, teams are dictated by a "school-yard pick" by what is basically a back and forth game of dibs between Sy and Chris.
- All scores (all numbers) were RNG'd. All scoring attempts are exclusively when a Chaser throws the Quaffle at the goal. This has no bearing on Bludger disruptions, or ball stealing, or intercepting passes. The rng score is only to determine how many points are scored, and how many times the keepers block a goal. So essentially, while it says "player 1 made 2 attempts and scored neither" it means player 1 threw twice, and both throws were blocked exclusively by the opposing keeper. They could have had the Quaffle a hundred times, but the Quaffle only leaves their hands to score those two times.
- We're trying to leave this super open/loose. We said specifically "disrupted" for beaters to allow all of you to decide whether or not your character gets injured and by who and how. So, if Player 1 scored zero points, you can dictate whether or not that is because a bludger hit the tail of their broom, or if that's because they focused solely on assisting the other scoring Chasers. Game play, and how each character operates within the pick up game is solely up to you.
- Leo can respond under any header because Leo is the referee. Keep in mind, if you write your character doing anything illegal, such as elbowing an opposing player in the ribs (
Sylvester), Leo has the right to make the call, under any heading, at any point in time. Illegal, violent moves are not barred from the game, but by writing them, you're volunteering to penalize your character with post-game laps, should Leo decide to make that call. - TAKE NOTE the teams do change between game one and game two, please let your reactions to game one and two reflect the accurate team assignments.
- *SHOUT OUT TO JORDAN FOR BEING SO FUCKING HELPFUL, BY THE WAY

Game One Highlights
- On team one, Chasers Sy, Clem, and Ana score a total of 80 points. Sy makes 5 attempts and scores twice. Clem makes 1 unsuccessful attempt, and Ana, unassuming in her new position as chaser, makes eight attempts, and scores six times. On team two, Chasers Ulysses, Levi, and Aiden score a total of 50 points. Ulysses makes 2 attempts, both of which are unsuccessful. Levi attempts six goals, and scores three times. Aiden only makes two attempts, but both of his attempts are successful.
- As a team, Beaters Dimi and Quinn just barely outplay Chris and Roxie. Quinn successfully disrupts the game with two hits, and Dimi, unassuming in a role nobody else at Gooseberry have seen him perform in, manages to disrupt the game with seven hits. Roxie is on par with Quinn, also disrupting an on-going play twice. Chris falls just short of Dimi, disrupting the game six times with his hits.
- As for the Keepers, Rosy manages to block seven attempted goals, whereas Avery only blocks five.
- The game ends a little over an hour after it starts, when the Snitch appears in the very center of the pitch where all the action is. Tess and Oscar both see it, seemingly at the same time. Like bullets, they both take off toward the snitch. Tess, a more experienced flier gets there much faster than Oz, who's history of being uncoordinated is put on full display as he misses the snitch completely and smashes into Clem hard enough to distract from Tess, who comes up with the snitch uncontested. Team One wins, 130 - 50!

Outside of Beaters, We basically RNG'd the teams/positions for their "fuck it lets play one more" game. Enjoy!

- A much tighter game than before, on team one chasers Oscar, Solo, and Dimi score a total of 80 points. Oscar makes four attempts, three of which are blocked. Solo comes in hot with seven attempts, cementing Leo's captainship by scoring four of those seven attempts. Dimi makes six attempts, scoring three goals. On team two, chasers Ulysses, Tess, and Quinn score a total of 90 points. Ulysses attempts twice and succeeds this time with both of his attempts. Tess attempts a whopping ten times, but only scores three of them. Quinn is on her game, attempting four points and scoring all four times.
- Beater team Levi and Chris find their rhythm, with Levi successfully disrupting the game six times, Chris disrupting the game only once on his own, in favor of assisting his rare beater partner this game. Because of their team work and greed, they are definite bludger hogs, as Sy and Clem only gain significant control of the bludgers a few times - Clem doesn't manage to disrupt the game at all, while Sy disrupts the game twice.
- Stepping in as keeper this game, Ana blocks seven of the attempted goals, while Rosy shines again, blocking nine.
- This game goes a bit longer. The Snitch is seen several times, but with beater interference and some lack of practice as seekers, Roxie and Aiden don't manage to get anywhere near the Snitch until two hours in. Finally, the Snitch reappears next to one of Ana's goal posts. After such a close, drawn out game, both Roxie and Aiden go for the snitch. Aiden is closer, but Roxy proves that she can be a showman of her own. She pulls off some tricky acrobatic skills that enable her to get through the obstacles in between her and the snitch with ease. Dodging around opposing players, bludgers, and then right through a goal post (despite a valiant blocking effort from Rosy, the opposing keeper), Roxie comes up with the snitch just before Aiden's fingers can grasp it. Team One wins, 130 - 90!!

Game One
Team One
Ulysses
JUST KIDDING. Regardless of how many times he was battered or Bludgered ( — and if you've ever wanted to sock him, now's your chance, because my boy may be a giant trash baby, but he ain't no snitch — ), he's going to leave this game feeling pretty miserable. Don't even look at him, Leo. It's time for him to limp to the woods to die.
Anyway, Ulysses is definitely one of the louder voices calling for a rematch. Because, like, okay fine, maybe this game was still a little bit fun.
Tess
Seeker wasn't her typical position, and she's out of practice, but still a strong flier. It takes her a little while to stretch her wings, but before long, she's zooming around the pitch, keeping her eyes peeled, and it's honestly the happiest and least stressed she's looked in a while.
Team Two
Oscar + Open
Rosy
Because Rosy's a shithead.
And she only knows how to measure herself in comparison to her damn brother.

Chris
Chris's team lost both games, but he's practically like a child with how giddy he is. He's in a fantastic mood. He will gather all these crushed losers and shower them with his great mood and pot, even you trash baby Ulysses.
