KISSING DAY

RULES

Kissing Day is the day before the summer solstice! It's considered good luck to get kissed today, and bad luck and a year of loneliness if you don't get a kiss, or if the object of your affection refuses a kiss from you.

The melodrama of what it means if you don't get the right kiss can vary, so feel free to have your characters be incredibly melodramatic or extremely exasperated over this superstition.

Simply comment with your character's name and form below, and then respond to others who have posted their characters!

Some students may be under the impression that more kissing = more luck. Will anything special happen if you collect the most kisses? (... probably not, but you'll sure feel loved.)

Receptiveness: Is your character soliciting kisses? Actively avoiding them? Only accepting them from select people? Do they need to be harangued into participating? Are they losing it because if their crush doesn't kiss them they're going to die alone???

Ursulaaaaa~ Kenzie creeps up behind her (... she's not terribly stealthy) and plants a kiss on Ursula's temple.

Kenzie waggles her eyebrows at Casper.

Receptiveness: Jade plans to have FUN today.
And by fun this time, she means that she is actively looking to "curse" people by looking like she's going to kiss lots of cheeks, hover an inch above their faces, and then run away. It's her favorite trick.
She will accept any kisses and maybe return them if she REALLY likes you, but mostly it's about the cursing.

Kenzie will attempt to dip kiss Nia, who is welcome to refuse this annoying giantess.

Name: Fern
Receptiveness: Fern is like a cat who wants to be pet, but won't actively seek it, and might still bite you anyway. So, she's giving out kisses, but won't ask for any. Because, like, whatever.

One cheek kiss and one cheeky wink for Sofia as Nia half-dances down the hall between classes.

The lesser known, "naughty rings" of the Inferno. Just outside of limbo and maybe edging into lust.

Ulysses is fully aware that walking around with Kenzie's lipstick all over him will make him look like a turd, but unfortunately for all parties, he finds the idea delightful. He won't stop her.

Okay, okay, all issues of "dating" and "romance" and all that dumb stuff aside... Ulysses will happily kiss her actual frog. Or maybe just source him some crickets.

Ulysses also waggles his eyebrows at Casper.

I am kind of pretending to be a good employee today so I will be back on my lunch break~~~~ or sooner if I break down and accept that I'm terrible and should feel terrible~~~~~

Nia breaks her no smooching Casey Patterson rule to totally smooch Casey Patterson. Planting a firm kiss on his cheek like immediately after yelling at freshmen for running in the hall. It's kind of weird.

Receptiveness: Guess who's hiding in the corner of a bathroom or library til this nightmare is over!!???!!

Receptiveness: She IS indeed soliciting kisses. All are welcome. None will be turned away.

"You know that could be considered peer pressure, right?" She's mainly teasing, she knows Micah is harmless. Still, she likes Milo a lot and doesn't want to ruin that, even if they aren't exactly official or anything. "I'm offering innocent kisses only! Would you like one on each cheek?"

Receptiveness: He will be harassing exactly one person today with kisses. To everyone else, this holiday better not exist in his direction.
At least that's what he's usually like. End of the year sentimentality has hit Leo strongly enough that his friends are prooobably going to be able to get away with cheek kisses. He'll still complain about them but he won't duck out or run away.

Receptiveness: She doesn't seem aware of what day it is. Any attempts to kiss her will be met with a poised little furrow of the brow before she dives straight back into whatever book you've interrupted.

Iliya rolls his eyes when he sees this. "Do not kiss them. They do not deserve it."

Here is the infamous one person, who seems to think it's very fun today to kiss Rafael every time they meet up again. It's "so you'll be really lucky." He will argue, each time.

Kenzie switches her target. "What if we kiss you instead, Krum Cake?"

they've fired like four people who kind of disappointed them in the last year and I got paranoid and went lol fuck I better delete my browser history and make sure I put on my friendly face shouldn't I, being a professional disappointment doesn't make much money.

Name: Harry!
Receptiveness: Whatever. Kiss her, don't kiss her, it's all good.

Fern walks right up to Casey, puts her hands on either cheek, pulls his face down to meet hers, and kisses him on the lips.

Nia sidles up to Ursula between classes, talks to her for a bit about the crab children, exams... Normal stuff. Then, at the conversation's natural conclusion, she says, "Oh yeah! Almost forgot!" and plants a smooch on Ursula's cheek before skipping off down the hall like a doofus.

Receptiveness: Soliciting ALL KISSES of ALL VARITIES from ALL PEOPLE. Look, it's another holiday that's more fun after a breakup. She will make the most of it and kiss just everyone.
And also hand out antigerm if you are scared about mono before finals.
