RULES

• Kissing Day is the day before the summer solstice! It's considered good luck to get kissed today, and bad luck and a year of loneliness if you don't get a kiss, or if the object of your affection refuses a kiss from you.


• The melodrama of what it means if you don't get the right kiss can vary, so feel free to have your characters be incredibly melodramatic or extremely exasperated over this superstition.


• Simply comment with your character's name and form below, and then respond to others who have posted their characters!


• Some students may be under the impression that more kissing = more luck. Will anything special happen if you collect the most kisses? (... probably not, but you'll sure feel loved.)

Ouch. Micah is beyond delighted, but he can't show that just yet. "The satisfaction of knowing that one of your classmates lived to see junior year? Wait... juniors are awful. Maybe you'd really be doing me a favour?" He sighs dramatically. "Leave me to my fate, Ree. Let me expire, alone and unloved, if that's what I deserve."

"Mmm," Ree hums, caught between the facts that she doesn't lie and she loves Micah. "It might be what you deserve, but I'm not sure I deserve the guilt. Convince me."

Ok, not the starkest rejection in the book, but she's trying here, Micah.

"Well, first of all, you don't deserve the guilt. You're a good person who does good things, and you shouldn't have to feel guilty about anything. Second... you love to give kisses, and I know that, because you are one of my best friends and we've known each other forever. Third: you adore me. You think I'm being really cute right now. Like... kissably cute."

Micah winks at her, and offers his cheek for a kiss.

Yeah, Ree tried. She snorts and throws herself at Micah, if only so that she can be extremely dramatic about peppering his face with kisses. "I almost always think you're being kissably cute," she informs him between smacks, and she only wishes she'd had time to put her lipstick on before he showed up. "Sorry I'm not better at being mean, sweetie. I did try."
