KISSING DAY

KISSING DAY

RULES
  • Kissing Day is the day before the summer solstice! It's considered good luck to get kissed today, and bad luck and a year of loneliness if you don't get a kiss, or if the object of your affection refuses a kiss from you.

  • The melodrama of what it means if you don't get the right kiss can vary, so feel free to have your characters be incredibly melodramatic or extremely exasperated over this superstition.

  • Simply comment with your character's name and form below, and then respond to others who have posted their characters!

  • Some students may be under the impression that more kissing = more luck. Will anything special happen if you collect the most kisses? (... probably not, but you'll sure feel loved.)

Name:
Receptiveness: Is your character soliciting kisses? Actively avoiding them? Only accepting them from select people? Do they need to be harangued into participating? Are they losing it because if their crush doesn't kiss them they're going to die alone???

» KISSES: Post your character's willingness to get some kisses!

» OTHER: If you have any scenes you'd like to do that don't fit in above, put them here!

» OOC: QUESTIONS, COMMENTS & CONCERNS

The sight of a Nintendo DS immediately stops Essie's shambling, but the mention of imaginary romance with fake people has her right up in Lucas' business. She peers at the little screen and the prospect of digital boyfriends. "Like Rune Factory?"
Edited (pardon me while i go charge up my DS so I can finally marry my husbando and beat Conquest) 2017-06-20 01:25 (UTC)

After a thoughtful head tilt, Lucas decides, "Naw. I mean, they both have romance systems? But totally different games, otherwise."

He pops the stylus out and taps through a few screens, showing off the basic systems. "This is more tactical. Even the romance. You're hooking everyone up. And then they have kids? And the kids stats are improved based on the parents. So you if you're playing on hard mode you kinda want to maximize stats and pair the best people and--" Lucas looks up from his DS at Essie, blinking. "Wow explaining this out loud makes it sound really messed up." And then a beat. "But some of the S-rank scenes are worth it."

He offers the DS to her. "You want to check it out?"

Essie hasn't considered digital eugenics breeding programs before and tilts her head thoughtfully as she takes the DS from Lucas. Give it some time and she'll fully embrace micromanaging everyone's love lives.
But for now, there's a far more important question on her mind. "Okay, but how many boyfriends can I have?"

"One per save," Lucas points at the screen, and the array of A-ranked relationships. "But you can build everyone up, play through them all, and pick the one you like." Save scumming: the answer to all your prayers.

Essie slips out the stylus and begins clicking through screens. Is that boy wearing a pot on his head? Why is there a grandpa--

Hellooooo shirtless boy.

She pauses in her clicking to give Lucas a knowing look. "So which one's your boyfriend?"

"Her," Lucas kind of scoffs, pulling up the profile of a blue haired warrior princess. And then, after a pause, he flips through the roster to a foppish, blue haired archer, "And also Virion. In my other save." He's a little embarrassed, now, but that doesn't stop him from saying, "There's a lot to pick from."
