WARDED TO KENZIE, KURT, CHLOE, AND ULYSSES

Hi, Family! I hope you're all having a great first day of school. Yay, senior year!

Not yay: I've been listening to the tracks I recorded last spring and they're all awful. I wasn't about to take Marie's advice on my lyrics, because when I asked who her favorite poet is she said "I don't know, Shakespeare?". But after reviewing this stuff I'm having serious second thoughts. The rhymes are forced and the sentiment is tepid.

I'm not asking a lot of myself here. I don't need or even want to be the next Taylor Swift. But break-up songs have universal appeal and I think to write a good one I'm going to need some practical experience. As you all know, I've never dated before, so I'd like some feedback on my preliminary thoughts.
~~Micah St. Clair.~~ He seems like he'd fall in love with anybody, so I'm sure I could get him on the hooks if I just paid him a little bit of attention. This is a major consideration for me because I am not very good at flirting, or at least don't have much experience with it. He's my "beginner's option", if you will.
Casper Kim. My bandmate, Carolina Foster-Hayes, was in love with Casper Kim last year, so I know he's crush-worthy. Personally, I don't find him very cute, but I bet Carolina would be extremely jealous if we were to fall in love. A catfight with a close personal friend would also be good inspiration for songwriting.
Casey Patterson. He's also easy, and unlike Micah, he is very handsome. We have a lot in common and already hang out sometimes. Plus, he's Marie's brother, which could create additional interesting tension (see previous point).
Isabelle Sargent. She's a junior in Ebonhide, if you don't recognize the name. You all missed this, but the year after you left Ilvermorny she had a complete meltdown. I'm listing that as a pro, because falling in love with someone who's mentally unstable could be a real roller coaster.
Austin McNamara. His lyrics are also not very good, so this arrangement might be mutually beneficial for us.
Jaime Castillo. He's a Quidditch captain now, which is only apropos for Prince girls! Right, Kenzie?
Sofia Delgado. I know she likes girl for sure, so she's got that up on Isabelle. It feels like a step down from dating the captain, though.
Sterling Owsley. Usually I wouldn't put a marriagable boy on a list like this, but I don't actually like Sterling that much. Having an awkward failed relationship in sophomore year might be a good reason to not get married later on down the line.
Ideally, this relationship will end with me being dumped, but I'm not opposed to being the dump-er if things are dragging on.

Right now I think I'm leaning towards Casey.

P.S. I know this is very sudden and your kneejerk response is probably going to be "Natalie, you shouldn't date anybody!", but I'm very determined to do this. Thanks in advance for understanding.

What's wrong with Casey?

He's too old for you, he doesn't date, he's an incorrigible flirt, and he's a friend of mine. I really don't want to draw lines in the sand with Casey over this.

Of course you wouldn't ask for that, you're too sweet. Really, though, Casey won't let you tie him down long enough for your heart to even get bruised.
