Does anyone know if it's okay for owls to eat popcorn?

My dog loves popcorn so it's probably fine. Trust me, my mom's a magizoolgist and my brother's a vet. I'm basically an expert.

Just make sure she doesn't choke on popcorn kernels because I always choke on popcorn kernels and I'm a human.

One she's had a taste that's it. She's hooked. She's gonna do anything within her power to get to that poppitycorn.

but don't owls eat mice and stuff whole? if they can deal with bones, should kernels be a problem? i guess they've got to cough those up, though.

leonora's never tried to eat popcorn.

TRUE TRUE TRUE. I love the way they eat. Does she choke down the popcorn pieces whole like a mouse?

if you're worried, why don't you ask mrs. o'hare? i bet she knows. and if she shouldn't eat popcorn, mrs. o'hare can probably give her emergency owl surgery or something.

One time I let Lisandro have beef jerky, and now he roots through backpacks to find it, even if it's never there. Hopefully she's less, uh, determined than he is about popcorn.

She has wings and a beak and she flies, which are all very important parts of being a bird. And she's... sweet. She's a sweet animal.

once they've got their mind set on something, it can be hard to change it. leonora doesn't take food, but she spends half the winter in my jacket and i don't have really have any say about it.

They can be so stubborn. Lisandro lives to eat. He only loves me because I'm the big featherless food dispenser in his life. If he goes into my jacket, it's because he smells snacks.

Mischief eats just about anything and has been fine so far.

Well don't offer rice based dishes.

They seem like a shit pet, I mean maybe they aren't too bad but think of all of the needing to sit on statues.

It's not bad for them, but it's not great for them either? Like, it won't kill them or anything, but a lot will probably make them sick, so don't make it a regular habit.
