[WARDED TO PREFECTS+ HEADS]

Hi guys. I'm not sure how much this has got out there already, but I wanted to make sure everyone knew. Last night, we went to the grotto with Mr. Merrill. There's been some improvements. It's not quite so dilapidated. Could be higher resale value after we graduate. [...] But anyway. We were looking around and Brother himself dropped by.

He told us that the place was his now. His younger brother couldn't come there anymore, but we could come and visit if we wanted to. If we got hurt there, he'd lead our parents to find us.
I'm not sure how he'd find our parents, exactly, but he can stop time, so I assume he has his ways.

[...] I don't know what, if anything, this changes about your stances about grotto parties. I understand it might be difficult to trust a woodland entity, but personally, I haven't seen a reason to not, yet. He's the one who helped us last year to find everyone. He's the one who promised that we were safe now. And to my understanding, he's the one who's been helping staff and MACUSA.

I still think we need to be careful, but this was kind of good to hear.

I'm still not wild about this, but [...] I don't know. I guess either it was telling the truth and it's safe at the Grotto, or it wasn't and we're not safe in our own beds anyway.

Personally I'm not going to be making any exceptions for the school curfew on Grotto party nights anymore, but if the rest of you are comfortable with it... it is what it is.

I know I haven't had to prefect ~~yet~~ for long, but [...] I agree with Reece. The Grotto doesn't seem any less safe than our cabins, and Mr. Merrill was able to come and find us when he thought he needed to. And curfews still seem important. We have them for a reason, right? ~~Unless you think we shouldn't uphold them when there's a party, maybe~~

For what it's worth the staff is under the impression that the creatures can't get into our cabins anymore. Mr C-B put up some wards around the campus buildings, but apparently Brother told him how to do them.

I absolutely agree about curfew enforcement. Especially after Rosy's ghost sighting last night.

We're never going to stamp out Grotto parties. I'll take Brother's reassurances, for now.

I just [...] ~~God.~~ I know it hasn't done anything to us, really, but I don't like knowing it's out there.

We're never going to understand him. Not really. But cautious optimism seems like a good stance at this juncture. Emphasis on the caution, of course. A Do Not Engage policy on the entities - moose and ghosts - is probably in order. God knows someone will want to go make friends.

Yeah. I agree. If one house is enforcing something, everyone needs to be. And ten o'clock limits would cut down the sheer amount of binge drinking anyway.
It's as win-win as we're going to get right now.

A minute after 10:00 and I start to panic, but [...] if this means we're all going to be enforcing it the same way, you have my support.

I know we were doing write-ups for breaking curfew on party nights last year, but maybe point deductions would be better. That'd give us some space to self-manage before the staff got involved.

I think slowing everything down and starting to clean up at 9:30 is fair. We'll probably have to give several warnings, anyway.

I'm in agreement. 10:00 is reasonable enough, and I think most people will understand when we make it clear the alternative is, well, no parties at all.

After curfew, and going out alone, always yes.
If the circumstance arises that there's a grotto party [...] that's still up for some compromise.
