π RIBBONBEATER TARGET PRACTICE π

RIBBONBEATER TARGET PRACTICE
Anxious to make sure he's up to team standards, Calvin Evercreech has coordinated with Ramon Delgado to call upon their junior friends for practice. Target practice, that is! Players will have to to fly down the pitch and score a goal (or catch a Snitch) without being hit by the Ribbonfin beater team.
The Quaffle gets tossed up to a Chaser, who must carry it from one end of the pitch to the other, and throw it past the Keeper. Calvin and Ramon are here to stop them from ever getting there. Meanwhile, Seekers are welcome to opt for searching for the Snitch instead, and may find a Bludger aimed their way while they're trying to deal with their rival.
Β» IC Reactions: It's a brisk Thursday afternoon, and anyone who wants to watch and cheer is welcome.
Β» Chasers/Seekers.
Β» Beaters: For Calvin and Ramon.
Β» Keepers.

HOW THIS WORKS
- Ribbonfin Quidditch players and all Juniors are invited to play in these trials.
- Each character will need to put points into their stats. A guide to scoring your characters:
0 - Poor
1 - Below Average
2 - Average (as compared to your typical Quidditch player)
3 - Above Average
4 - Excellent- Veteran players (characters who were a first string player last year) get 11 points to distribute.
- New players and reserves (characters who were not first string last year) get 9 points to distribute.
- Non-players (characters not on a team in any capacity) get 7 points to distribute.
- Stats will determine how well a character does in the exercise. For Chasers/Seekers, two rolls will be done, for two attempts. (OOC, they will be rolled after a Beater or Keeper posts their stats.)
- Chasers: Fly the length of the pitch for as many times as it takes until they're knocked off their broom or they've scored two goals, whichever comes first. RNG will determine how many times they're hit and how many times they score on the Keeper.
- Seekers: Compete against opposing Seekers for the Snitch, and avoid getting knocked out. RNG will determine how many times they manage to catch the Snitch, and whether or not they're hit by a Bludger.
- Beaters (Ramon & Calvin only): To practice their aim and how in sync they are, Ramon and Calvin will be doing their best to stop Chasers from scoring, and Seekers from catching the Snitch. While they're not trying to seriously injure anyone, Quidditch isn't a nonviolent sport. RNG will determine their success.
- Keeper: Prevent Chasers from scoring. RNG will determine how well they do against particular players trying to score on them. In this case, Ramon and Calvin are not aiming for the Keepers, and they're safe from Bludgers.
- The only Beaters will be Calvin and Ramon, who set this up largely for their own benefit because they're terrible boys.
- Everyone else will rotate in and out so they all get a couple shots.
- Final results will be posted by Friday night based on whoever shows up!

As for Spencer himself playing? No thanks. Not his sport.

She's working on some chants, etc -- so sit by her if you're cool with some questions about ~what you think~

Position: Chaser!!
How are they feeling in general about this exercise?: GREAT. Getting hit by a Bludger isn't, uh, his FAVORITE part of playing Quidditch?? BUT it happens!! And he's going to use this as DODGING practice!!

How are they feeling in general about this exercise?: Micah blows an air-kiss every time he passes Calvin or Ramon. It's a very inefficient way to look for the Snitch.

HAZEL

How are they feeling in general about this exercise?: Hazel was anticipating a normal fun practice but whaaaaaatever, this is fine too!! She got beaned by Dinah at Coppertale practice so she's sure hard hits from a Bludger will be fine??

CASH
Position: Chaser
How are they feeling in general about this exercise?: Might have been bribed into this. Has very little desire to help Ribbonfin's beaters with anything. Does not particularly want to throw or catch a ball............. But can, to his credit, unflinchingly take a Bludger.

How are they feeling in general about this exercise?: To truly never fear death, you must face it as often as possible with open arms.
That is. Sheβs not good at sports but sheβll think this a wonderful idea and support it by flying around on brooms some more.

Heathcliff
Position: Chaser
How are they feeling in general about this exercise?: Heathcliff is ALL IN. He never gives anything less than 100% when it comes to sports and he's eager to play and prove himself and maybe learn a thing or two about his future opponents. Manuverability still isn't his strong suit, though, and he's resigned himself to coming out of this with bruises. Lots of bruises. WHATEVER. It's fine as long as he stays on his broom, right? Let's do this!
