I'm at Ribbonfin. I know I'm in trouble. Listen, though -

We were at the sophomore girl's cabin and as Violet and I were leaving to go back to our cabins we saw him. Lake Gooseberry Killer. He had a knife. He laughed and ~~it sounded like Sy Stoker~~ ~~No he's Reid's friend and everyone~~ that was it, really.

It was his laugh. I - I mean I can't swear it because I didn't actually see him but when the person in the trees laughed it sounded just like Sy but everyone is SO convinced it's NOT him this time.

But I can't like, just tell anyone or everyone that because they'd get SO mad at me.

He's big. So are most men. It could be a coincidence. "Killer with knife" is a non-specific threat.

If it's somebody copying Sy, then they're copying more than his stature. They're copying his laugh now too. And that's probably not an easy thing to copy.

I'm not going to shit on your friend and put him on trial, but it might be best for him to start using the buddy system just so he has an aliabi if this happens again.

We're magic. There's got to be a spell or something that'd do that.

He's been with me both times this shit's happened. The rest of our roommates will back it up. He wouldn't do this again anyway.

maybe. But that means there's somebody out there actively framing Stoker.

I don't know him well enough to know if he'd do this again, but the evidence is starting to point toward him. So he should probably be careful because if he is being frame, his framer's being pretty freaking clever about it.

But only a moron would think he'd pull this shit again. He's not going to risk his badge on some stupid prank.

His girlfriend thought he would risk it five days ago, Reid. And now two girls swear they heard his laugh. This is an escalation so the only way to combat evidence is with better evidence. Which means alibis that don't rely on his best friends. It doesn't always matter if he's actually innocent, it matters if he can prove that he's not doing it this time.

Yeah and then he said he didn't and she believed him. I know some people just want to assume the worst because they don't like him or whatever. But it does fucking matter when someone's innocent.

Ask Tremblay to back me up. He doesn't like either of us so you can trust him.

She believed him because she's dating him. That's a bias. It's two sophomores this time, they don't have that bias. They have no reason to believe him innocent. They know what they saw and they know what they heard.

If you vouch for Sy tonight, I believe you. I don't need to follow up with Dom. But if it's not him, then he has a serious problem.

Or this asshole did sound like him. One of our jobs as prefects is not rewriting what happened with what we assume happened. We can't assume we know more than them, we weren't there.

You should tell Vector the polyjuice theory too.
