Hello, my fellow Gooseberrians! I hope y'all are doing well on this blustery October afternoon :) The Halloween dance is right around the corner and if you haven't started thinking about your costumes, now is the time! Think of this as a great place to bounce ideas off one another. Y'all know me, I'm always willing to pitch in my two cents.

Once you have a good idea of what you're thinking of going as, please let me know. The prefects are planning a costume crafting night this Saturday, Oct. 22nd in the main lodge from 7-9:30pm. Prospero and Mrs. Acuña will be there to help make sure your costume is just perfect. There will also be quite a few prefects in attendance, so please don't worry about needing a buddy to walk you back to your cabin.

It would help me a lot if you could tell me what sorts of supplies you will need in advance. I hope to see you all there!

Ah, yes, that seems to be a common theme in these stories! Everyone is so very badly behaved and dramatic. We will all get to pretend to be so naughty for an evening.

If there are any rules against cute girls with snakes in their hair, I think it will be very important that we bend them for one evening.

It's intended to be metaphorical and teach lessons, but mostly it just makes it seem like the Greeks liked worshipping philandering jerks. But very entertaining, philandering jerks. We'll pretend to be naughty while not-so-much-pretending to enforce school rules.

That'd be a pretty specific rule. I Don't imagine they would've had time to add that one just yet.

My grandparents would be horrified if the school had to make a rule because of me. Actually no, they probably wouldn't. They'd probably frame it. Ask Rafael and Headmistress Bloom to sign it.

I can't guarantee Headmistress Bloom's signature, but I happen to have an in with Rafael and I am not above abusing it. We can make your grandparents very, very proud!

Oh dear Lord, you can't encourage them like that. They'd put it in the front window of the shop.
