SPLASH MOUNTAIN STAGED PHOTO CONTEST!!

Splash Mountain staged photos are kind of a Thing. And they seem like the kind of Thing that a bunch of teenage wizards would enjoy doing. Head on down to Frontierland, get the most ridiculous picture you can with your pals and bring it on over to Lucas Kowalski. An anonymous panel of judge(s???) will determine who has the best photo, and a prize will be awarded!

Throughout the day, various groups of students bus on through the ride line planning goofy shots. Ree Hobbs unfortunately spends their entire time in line getting hit on by a group of fourteen-year-olds. Team Coppertale spends twenty minutes sitting in their log a quarter of the way through the ride after there's an emergency stop to prevent someone from spreading their great aunt's ashes - people are weird. And lucky Austin McNamara loses their hat on the final drop.

HOW THIS WORKS

This event is open to the entire junior class.

Up to 8 kids and as little as 1 can squeeze into a log (lol) for a staged photo. (The ride sits eight, max.)

You can submit up to two photos to Lucas for judgment, but if you want to keep coming up with ridiculous ride photos, by all means.

The victors will receive a prize pot containing: a couple of really ridiculous mouse ears, eight random Disney flare pins, and a 10 lb bag of Haribo gummy bears

I'm not sure how my internet access will be today, but I'll be rolling until 11:59pm EST on 11/26.

WHO WANTS TO DO THIS WITH REE? Someone please do this with Ree.

Calvin will absolutely let Zach, Essie and Micah drag him on the ride at least once, he just loves to play like he hates everything. He's probably not going to be an asset, though.

Has anyone/does anyone want to claim Jeffy? I'll try to check in during the day but mostly Jeffy is available for being HELLA INTO ALL IDEAS.

Should Austin go down alone, with his arms crossed as his hat gets cruelly stolen by physics? Because I'll send Austin down alone, he doesn't deserve friends.

Hi I always want Jeffy!!! ♥ I've been a complete and total lump today SORRY. I need to locate a thing to eat with actual nutritional value. & IDK but there was talk of Jade killing people from the candy rustlin' kids.

And Essie will ride this with anyone and everyone, so. She'll take photos with all the grumpy kids.

Jeffy will die VERY DRAMATICALLY for Darth Jader!!

If Ira doesn't have a second team can he and Austin go be essie's grumpass gargoyles.

Here's a list of volunteer slots I wrote last night that I decided were too fucking weird once I'd woken up. Feel free to use them if you decide otherwise:

Volunteer makes friends with a wayward six-year-old who's been tethered to the bars outside the ride by a leash while her parents ride Splash Mountain.

Volunteer sees something weird waddling across the path. It's ... a lobster?

A couple of ducks get in a pretty serious duck fight, and Volunteer narrates the battle like it's an MMA Champion fight

I'd like to suggest the Coppertales get stuck on the ride if everyone else is up for it. (Additional theme park war flashback: I got stuck on a roller coaster at Magic Mountain with my classmates for 15 minutes and we almost got kicked out of the park because we descended into Lord-of-the-Flies style screeching after 5 minutes.)
