Did you know that Parisian pigeons were used extensively as a messaging service by No-Maj during the Franco-Prussian war? The city was under siege for over four months, and pigeons were one of the only ways to get messages in and out. They can find their way home from hundreds of miles away. Even if they got to their new destination by train! Pigeons are really neat!

[i know they can find their way home from at least 200mi away so i'm assuming they can also do it from further. google was no help. suspension of disbelief pls.]

Wow! I know my patronus wouldn't be a pigeon then. I'd have spent this whole trip lost without Google Maps.

There are REALLY FAT ones that live outside my apartment!! New Jersey pigeons, not Paris pigeons. But maybe they have French GRANDPARENTS or something!!
