There's [...] someone I like but I think they're str[...] don't like [...] boys. But sometimes I'm not too sure. They act really [...] put off when
[......]
I don't know why I was trying so hard to keep it gender neutral, sorry. Everyone knows I'm queer.
So I like a boy? I thought he was straight but sometimes he comes off as a little [...]too straight sometimes and seems more opposed to any sort of potentially homoromantic contact than a normal straight boy feels I'm not really sure? I haven't asked him directly but it seems like a rude question. Or like he'd take offense to it?
I want to send him a candygram because he's one of my friends and I'm sending them to all of my other friends. But should I send him a normal one along with everyone else so it blends in or should I send him a deluxe one so he knows he's deluxe?? It's weird if I don't send him anything, right?
Okay. So, it would be weird if you completely left him out. It would turn it into something harder to explain and probably hurt his feelings and nobody would be happy then. So. Right, that's not an option.
And [...] it would probablydefinitely?fuck this is not my wheelhouse be rude to up and ask him about his orientation point blank, especially if he's not sure of it or not comfortable with it.
But, I also know that the "safe" option will never get anything done. It'll keep your friendship intact, the status quo will keep on keeping on, but nothing's going to move forward.
I guess you could think about how you'd answer him now? Write it down, work it out, just so you're prepared. Your friends probably won't even notice that someone else got a different candygram than he did, unless we're all comparing notes and sending out thank you cards afterwards.
But blaming the freshmen is a victimless crime, throw the entire class under the bus if it really starts to go off the rails.

If the plan starts out as "we're gonna fuck over the freshmen" then you're not giving yourself much room for success. Bet on yourself at least a little bit.
You could write a note! If he's not straight, I don't think he'd want to be pulled out of the closet, but you could at least let him know romantic relationship is an option?
I don't have a ton of relevant experience, but I've written a lot of fanf I don't think your feelings are going to go away if they aren't resolved somehow, right?
[...] It's a risk, but it sounds like something needs to budge or you'll just keep dancing around each other forever. And if things do turn out favorably, well [...] it's just really quite wonderful.
[...] And if it doesn't work out, at least your heart will have a chance to start mending sooner.
What sort of message are you planning to send? If you send a sleigh and a friendly message, he might not realize it's meant as anything more than just a particularly good friend.

Have you considered [...] sending an anonymous message with some sort of clue on how to find you at the dance? Then if you have a lovely evening together, you could reveal yourself when the charm expires? Making sure he knows you're a boy before then, of course, so that's not an additional surprise.
We went to a bar and had a lot of drinks and danced together. And then we went back to the hotel and ordered pizza and tried to watch a movie but then we fell asleep.
Am I being too optimistic? Even if he wasn't aggressively straight, he's way out of my league. I feel like I'm about to Avada Kedavra a solid friendship.

You kind of ruled out every optSo... deluxe?
Some Senior Ribbongirls
MaybeBut on the other hand it[............] Fuck it, yeah. Go deluxe, Ennis.[...]
At least that's how I'm voting. The others can still weigh in and heartily disagree.
Some Senior Ribbongirls
What if my other friends ask why they didn't get deluxe either?
If he hates it then should I play it off as a Freshman prank? Is that morally wrong?

We'll be sitting together when they're delivered, probably.
I might as well go all out and send chocolate roses with the backup plan to kamikaze the entire Freshmen class.
