as promised and in light of ebonhide's tree decorating win, ulysses sent the following letter. it's formally stamped and sealed in wax, mostly because this image was the first hit i got when i google searched "custom wax seal" lmfao
Cricket and Maggie,
I know, I know. I've owed y'all an owl since Thanksgiving. I was fixin' to do it earlier, honest, but things got a little hectic, what with Quidditch and all, and then we were in Paris and, [...] well, I don't know.
Anyways, guess what? It took some doing, but Ebonhide won the Christmas tree decorating contest this year. It was a group effort. Matter of fact, nearly all of us seniors had a hand in it. Hell, even Decourt managed to scrounge up some beads and tinsel. I guess after what happened last year, we just figured it'd be [...] nice.
The winning piece. It sure is something, isn't it?
[...]
The boys and I are gonna go see Wilde's brother in Portugal for a while. Not too long. Just up 'til the holidays start up in earnest. I'd come home early, but god only knows the next time I'll get the chance to trick those four into having fun. Well, three. At least Carney knows how to relax. The rest of them are wound tighter than a clock, what with finals around the corner. [...]
Hope y'all are doing well. Don't work too hard, alright? These internships can't be all that important. I heard Alo only showed up twice a week for his, and they still hired him back after Mama made a phone call. Don't see why you've got to run yourself ragged.
Maggie, you ought to come over to ours for Christmas. I'm sure the folks won't mind. Just tell everybody you're Aaron, and we'll pretend you're Cricket's date. [...] Just kidding, of course. [...] Still, it'd be great to have you. If you wanted.
Love y'all. Miss you more than I can say. The whole school does. [...] Don't tell anyone I said that.
All the best,
