ESBs TAKE PORTUGAL

Welcome to Lisbon, City of the Seven Hills, home to the ESBs (and possible +1s) for the next several days of holiday break! [Monday, Dec 18 - Sunday, Dec 23]

A group of rooms has been secured at an old wizarding hotel in the Bairro Alto quarter, good for nightlife and bar-hopping. Unless there are guests -- or anyone is particularly keen on having their own space -- assume two double-bed rooms are available for the ESBs to share as they see fit.

Wilde's (interesting, handsome, curse-breaking, insufferable) older brother Thomas is chaperoning this event, which basically means it's unchaperoned. He has his own shit to do, so the boys + any guests are relatively on their own. We're open-ended!

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND

The drinking age is 18 & apparently strictly enforced. Hope you have some kinda fake ID situation for any clubbing or bar shenanigans! :u Thomas, however, is "cool," and amenable to making certain purchases.

Though this is fairly unstructured, Thomas is enforcing Family Dinner Rules & expects to see everyone back at the hotel at 730pm to enjoy a meal together every evening. No ifs, ands, or buts! He can and will track you down!

Friday, December 21 is a Christmas-themed room party! Mostly, this is an excuse to play Truth or Shot.

Wilde can fumble through some Portuguese, but other than that, hopefully someone thought to bring a phrasebook or magical translation aid for when Thomas isn't around.

» THE HOTEL: For scenes set in rooms, at breakfast, etc.

» DAY: For day scenes, messing around in the beautiful city of Lisbon.

» NIGHT: For night scenes & night mischief!

» FRIDAY ROOM PARTY: This Christmas-themed get-together is basically mandatory. We're bonding, dammit.

» TRUTH OR SHOT: The one, the only, the obligatory. The rules remain the same: answer a question or take a shot. A bottle of Aguardente Bagaçeira will be provided, as well as wine & water & shitty beer. UPDATE: The boys have escaped the hotel & this is now taking place on a beach at night. How rebellious!

The hotel is very old and rather beautiful. Picture: castle-esque. Also possibly haunted. … Probably haunted. The staff here is magical and English-speaking, and breakfast is served promptly at 8:30am every morning.

There’s lots to do in Lisbon: various sight-seeing, museums, and even beaches! … If you feel like going to a beach in December. No judgement here. Maybe a little judgement. Don't forget to bundle up.

Bairro Alto is full of bars and interesting places to go after dark. Maybe it’d be fun to sneak into one? Or several? After you head back to the hotel to meet up for Family Dinner, of course. Family Time is not optional.

Thomas has (graciously?) transformed Wilde’s room into a Portuguese Christmas ~~nightmare~~ wonderland (...apologies to his roommate/s). Food and drink, alcoholic or not, are available. You kids have fun.

LIVE UPDATE: An escape has been made! This thread also potentially involves DRINKING ON A KINDA COLD BEACH, if you're interested in scening such precious moments.

"Did you meet anyone at the Masquerade?" Meet is maybe a weird word for "interact enjoyably with a stranger you may have no hope of identifying," but it's the one that fits.
