That's moderately reassuring. I suppose I care more about what others think than I like to admit. I'm bracing myself for people expecting the worst of him, or thinking he could find someone more fun than me. Which is a waste of my time.

That said, I'm anticipating a relatively drama free relationship. I hope I won't be bringing you into this very often.

I think it's fairly standard to care a lot about what others think. But, it is a waste of your time to fuss about it unless it would change your mind about the [...] situation you're now in.

You'll have an existential crisis if you ever fall in love. But for the record, it's not as bad as you think it is. Stressful, certainly, but not a pointless endeavour.

I've had a near miss or two and it was terrible, so I expect you to put me out of my misery if it ever actually happens. I can objectively see the appeal for most people at least.
