So, for my New Year’s Resolution, I decided to finally go vegetarian. So far, so good? But I am sort of missing some of the foods I ate before. It’s not so hard here, because the house elves are such good cooks and they always make vegetarian and vegan options. I’m just not sure what to eat at home. Lots of ramen I guess?
Also, I’ve started seeing Dr. Perry. And I thought [...] if anyone wants to ask me any questions about it, you can! Either in public or in wards. I don’t mind, so if you’re curious, ask away!
Oh, and for everyone in Aesthetic Magic, I’d like to do a booth at the Parent Teacher Conference. Maybe set up a little mini gallery? So, be thinking about what work you’d like to present!

oh. i'd really like to do something for the booth!! do you want a certain aesthetic?
no subject
Not really. I know a real gallery set up would have more of an aesthetic theme, but I think the best thing would be for everyone to just share what they're proudest of so far this year.

ok! i'll give it some thought, then. what do you think you'll show??
no subject
I'm not sure! I hadn't really thought about my stuff much.
no subject
it'll be hard to choose. i think. but everyone's done a lot of good work this year!! so it'll turn out.

You're right! The hardest part is not being able to display everything.

It’s definitely not just ramen. Do you like cooking or not really? Good news is, there’s tons of fake meat and frozen options that ARE pretty good if you get overwhelmed. But cooking basic stuff is pretty cheap and easy. Learn how to throw together some soups and pasta and you’re set.
If you want real recipes, I have tons.

Ummm I like cooking when it's in Magical Rudiments, but I'm not sure how I'd do on my own, if that makes sense? Like learning to make one thing in a classroom setting is on thing, but having to plan and buy groceries and cook and clean up every day multiple times a day seems overwhelming. But I'd love some of the easy recipes! I think I could manage soup and pasta?

But yeah, I'd love to learn some new recipes! The practice would be good.

NO DON'T DO IT RAMEN IS FULL OF MSG AND PRESERVATIVES AND SODIUM, YOU WILL END UP LOOKING LIKE JOAN RIVERSMaybe this applies but we do one big Prep Day at my house, like on the weekend, and we make all the meals for the week because my parents will be busy with work and asking my older sister to feed 7 people (at minimum) with her cooking skills is cruel because she can't even make rice without burning it and trying to pass it all off as raspa.
(That's not on.)
But yeah, if you prep everything one day, you can freeze it all and then microwave it another day.
Then you don't have to
eat ramenworry about it.no subject
Um whatever you marked out looks like a LOTThat's cool! My family doesn't really eat together very much, so I was thinking more like small easy meals. Prep Day sounds kind of intimidating.

How's speaking with Dr. Perry been? What kind of things do you even speak about during sessions? Not to pry. I'm just not terribly familiar with the process but it's nice of you to [...] open conversation about it.
no subject
Well, he's very nice! He's willing to [...] take a lot of time just getting to know you and making sure you're comfortable talking to him. It's not at all like, "Hi, nice to meet you, tell me all your deepest, darkest secrets." So I think it's kind of like getting into a swimming pool, and you can stay in the shallow end until you're comfortable going into the deep end.
I guess that didn't really answerI've been talking to him about some things [...] that have been bothering me this year and [...] some things I'd like to change.no subject
That doesn't sound so bad. [...] Does it [...] feel like it's helping? With [...] figuring out things?
I've confided some things to Ferdie butno subject
I think so. But I think it only helps as much as you're willing to work on it? Like he can't just say "don't worry about that anymore" and you don't, but he can help work through stuff?

That would be great!
