I would like to arrange a Dueling and Fencing club event on the weekend of the parent-teacher conferences. I believe you had mentioned working with the event committee on such a matter, and I would be very interested in doing so, should time allow.

[Dueling & Fencing Club]

I am inquiring about hosting an inclusive event with our visiting family for the parent-teacher conference weekend, should there be interest. I had several ideas, including dueling or fencing with our family members, or Patronus exercises, or even having the target-casting games brought back for us to play. Should you have any other ideas or requests, we would be most glad to hear them.

Also, if you would like to reserve a slot for dueling or fencing with your family, you may do so ahead of time, but you may also volunteer the day of the event if you wish to take advantage of the element of surprise.

I am still waiting for input from the rest of the club members, however nothing too complicated. Perhaps volunteers to duel or fence with parents, spell-target and aim games, [. . .] I am afraid I am not creative when it comes to [. . .] social engagements. Hopefully I am not overstepping my bounds in asking on your given talents regarding gatherings and [. . .] fun.

Not in the slightest. I'm happy to help out. We had a great deal of success at the start of the year when we let people douse their prefects with water, so I imagine that anything that sets family members against each other would go over well while certainly highlighting the strengths of the club. It may not be the most unexpected idea, but who doesn't have a family member they wouldn't mind poking with a foil.

A showcase presentation of some of your top duellists would perhaps also be fun for families to watch, though may take a little more work to arrange.

It certainly can be, if we have enough family members who would wish to participate. Doubles matches could be quite a lot of fun, I think. I can at least count my father and I to take part, for sure.

Luckily I am speaking with Event Committee at the moment to take some of the logistical load off of us and allow us more time to spend entertaining our visitors, so to speak, so all I ask of you is for you to have fun and not hex anyone too terribly.

That is a shame, I expect that would be very exciting, but I do understand. At the very least perhaps she would be interested in a demonstration of her talents? A spellwork show-and-tell, if you will.
