I don't mean for this to sound as rude as it's about to come out, but I don't see the point sophomores bonding with seniors when they're going to be leaving in a few months.

It's a chance to make lifelong friendships and connections! In two years when the sophomores are graduating and need jobs, maybe the current seniors can help hook them up.
