GALENTINE'S DAY

Who needs BOYS to have a good Valentine's Day? Literally no one, according to Miss Riley Mae, who has taken it upon herself to bring all you beautiful babes here for Galentine's Day. Come one, come all, to bitch about boys, gush about the dance, braid hair, rage, make sacrifices, makeout and pillow fight in your underwear—you know, normal girl party stuff.

The Grotto is pinked the hell out, a celebration of Riley's favorite color more than Valentine's Day, with lights and streamers and pink lip-shaped pillows inside the building for people to sit on. It's disgusting if you don't like the color pink. It's par for the course if you've met Riley before.

There's a table with booze off to the side that looks like, at one point in time, was intended to be something of a mimosa station until Riley realized she would have to get champagne from Logan and lost interest. There are still several champagne flutes and lots of juices, there's just a haphazard collection of other alcohols there instead of champagne. Which is obviously better.

The building is host to makeovers, kissing games, and, apparently board games, and y'all better get to partying before curfew! It is, regrettably, still a school night.

HOW THIS WORKS

• There are games of Spin the Bottle and Seven Minutes in Heaven in their usual place, but I'm not rolling any matches for anyone. Kiss who you want! Take over the closet if you want! It's a party!


• Riley will be doing makeup and nails! Or she'll just allow access to her extensive and slightly trashed nail and makeup kits if you want to do it yourself. I will try and do personalized responses to makeover requests, but you can also assume Riley is just MIA sometimes. It's a party and she's drinking.


• The party will still end at 10:00 PM, just like a regular Grotto party. Someone carry Riley home. And someone else please clean up after.

PARTY PARTY PRINCESS

• There are old sleepover classic board games going on inside the building, around the edges of any kissing games going on. Who cares if most of these girls are too young to be feeling nostalgic, don't you want to play?


• Ursula de Luca got her mother to send Pretty Pretty Princess, and you can play too! Fill out the form, post it here, and see how you did. I will keep rolling as long as you want so everyone can get that coveted crown.


• The rules for Pretty Pretty Princess are here, but you don't need to know them OOCly to play with us. You're just trying to get a full set of jewelry and a crown (but not the black ring!) before your friends, because the winner is a pretty pretty princess, and the losers are all ugly ugly urchins.


• There are other games, too! Mall Madness, Dream Phone, something with a whole bunch of sugar packets, whatever you can think of! Riley got her older siblings to send some to her, but, as these are Stampers we're talking about, most of them do not have all their pieces or rules included. I will not RNG these and characters are encouraged to just make up their own rules and find a way to include drinking.


• Don't you dare lose any of these plastic pieces of jewelry.

♥ DURING THE PARTY: Pop music is blasting, and there's no weird movie playing, but otherwise it's your standard Grotto party. But with No Boys Allowed. They'll just stink up the place.

KISSING GAMES: You don't need boys to play Spin the Bottle and Seven Minutes in Heaven, but these are a la carte. Make your own matches!

OTHER GAMES: Drinking games can go here, but let's play Pretty Pretty Princess.

MAKEOVERS: Take a seat on the stone steps outside and Riley will slap some makeup on you. If she happens to be around!

Last night had actually been fun and Avery is in a good mood. Why not go to this Galentine's thing? She dresses normally in a t-shirt and jeans but goes a little extra with her hair and make-up. "Is anyone else planning to go?" She asks the room at large, wondering mostly if she needed to find a buddy to walk with.

Compared to the past two weeks, Ruby is in remarkably cheery mood as she digs through her drawers and throws clothing onto the chair she dragged from its usual place in front of the fireplace. From her selections so far, it seems Ruby's mood is short, shiny and not appropriate for the Grotto in February.

"And now, the deciding question..." Ruby picks up a sparkly burgundy tank top that wouldn't have looked out of place during an amateur figure skating routine. "Sequined top, or sequined skirt?"

Opting for a comfortable t-shirt and hat, of course, Concordia is ready in like two minutes to go to the Galentine's thing. She's flopped back on her bed, reading something, kind of just waiting for the time to go by before they can head over there. Goal? Drink. She'd spent most of the morning in the kitchen, deciding she couldn't go to Galentine's day without something and ended up making about a hundred taquitos.

"Are you guys bringing anything? Were we supposed to? If it's weird should we just destroy all these taquitos now before we go?"

Avery & Clem

Drunk and happy, Avery finally decides to take a break from all the games and general gal-ing around. She hasn't brought anything to do in particular other than hang out with all of Gooseberry's lovely ladies, so she makes her way to the 'front door' for lack of a better term and sits on the steps, back to the stone. She still has a drink in hand, and is visible to partygoers - she isn't about to get forest-napped again. She just needs a little air.

Staring up at the sky, she closes her eyes a little and just takes a few minutes to relax and think.

It was about halfway through the party at this point, and Dia was mid-level drunk. She wasn't quite as wasted as she would be later, but for the time being she was far more relaxed and open than she was when she first arrived. She didn't look as angry or as determined to prove something and was generally just enjoying the atmosphere, sipping on her drink and observing the crowd.

She's definitely trying too hard to look cool. Nonchalant, even. Considering Isabelle doesn't actually have female friends with perhaps one exception in Pandora, she isn't sure why she allowed herself to be baited into coming. She just hated seeming like an outsider, as much as she had made herself one. This year was supposed to be different. It was different. She'd been in a play, she'd gone on two real dates with someone she actually liked, and there was a lot less attempted murder going on in her cabin. It was definitely different.

Still, her ability to integrate into a party wasn't any better than it usually was. She was sitting on a log, a book open in her lap. Definitely not the epitome of cool, but at least she was here? Trying? She had a drink in hand, too, slowly sipping it. She didn't want a repeat of the last time she'd gotten drunk, and really she wasn't fond of how filling alcohol was in the first place, even though she paired it with a diet soda. Which really didn't add to the taste.

JD Drunkypants & Open

Jonah was right to be concerned about JD's state of inebriation, not because she drinks a lot, but because she's a mega lightweight. She's had one drink and she's... more drunk than even a moderately sized teenage girl should be off of one drink. But JD's instinct, even when trashed, is to try and look good, so she's wandering around the party trying to look helpful.

"Do you need water?" she asks the first girl she runs into, and she has to brace her weight on their shoulder, because she lost her balance. "Let me get you some water."

Georgie Does Yoga

Georgie isn't drinking, but she is stretching. She stands with her back to the fire pit in a warrior pose, in the zone. Zen can be just as exciting as getting drunk girls!! Come do yoga with her!!

Georgie hums to herself as she gathers up trash from the party. She's found a box to toss the board games in, most of which she assumes belong to the lodge and should go back before Gaming Club notices they're missing. She separates the trash for easy recycling, breaks down the tables, starts pulling down the lights from the trees.

At no point does she appear to be concerned with how the fuck she's going to carry all of this stuff back out of the Grotto as well as any drunk young ladies in her care. She'll... probably figure it out. It just might take a couple extra trips. There's probably a fox freshman she can borrow for a buddy, even.

Georgie continues to hum a completely made up tune as a string of pink lights tumble onto her head.

OK EVERYONE I'm gonna go see Black Panther in a minute here but as a rundown for my girls:

Riley is here, will be getting trashed too early, and also she's probably doing a terrible British accent all night. You know, as practice for the play. She once spent 9 months in England she can do this.
Rosy is here to chaperone but can probably be convinced ("convinced") to play Pretty Pretty Princess and commit murder at some point.
Dinah is going to accidentally burn something tonight.
Aaand Georgie is also here to chaperone and will be here to clean up, no one get too fucked up so she doesn't have to carry people home???
