Well, you know. I was thinking about it, before, and at the time it made the most sense to give the mirrors to someone else involved with all of our research. So I wrote down the names of everyone I've spoken to about the seance and [...] it was really long. And I'm not good at picking. So I threw that out. And then, I was thinking, "Well, we don't have to keep one set for ourselves." And I was going to suggest you give a mirror to Essie and I give one to Fern or Ari and we ask Cole about giving one to someone in another house, too. And then I thought, "Well, we shouldn't go with obvious people, because if we get in trouble for what we're doing, we need some plausible deniability." And so I started graphing out all the possible combinations. But the graph wound up being four or five pieces of paper taped together. It was a mess. Also I'd decided by the third sheet of paper that I didn't even want to give my mirror to anyone but you. Because sometimes you just want to be able to see your boyfriend's face when you can't sleep and not worry about your cool teenage mystery solving club. So, I'm not really sure why I kept going. Probably anxiety. But I did.

And then the ward failure happened.
