We should all do it. They can't kick the whole school out.

We didn't get many guys try out, but I was pretty impressed with the girls. I think we'll have some pretty good routines to show for our work this year.

I kind of think that Coppertale and Azurcrest might be the only houses up for this, mind.

I'm good enough at charms to make this happen.

Of course! Excited is my other default state.

Azurcrest would never do that to you, would they? I know everyone takes athletics rather seriously, but I never imagined the jay house would be so strict.

It was a fine way to spend a sunny Saturday afternoon. Also apparently, I have serious reason to regret missing Coppertale's morning tryout, so I'm glad to have stayed for Azurcrest.

You were very talented, Diego.

I'm sure you'll make your house proud. Good luck and congratulations on the captaincy, Henrietta.

ONE OF THESE DAYS, they're going to have to let us do some fireworks. Whose birthday is coming up?

YEAH I'm so mad I missed that, Levi always delivers on his promises. Especially the really outlandish ones.

Oh, thanks. You think so?

It sounds like Coppertale quite enjoyed it. As outlandish promises go, this is one of his better ones.

Yes, of course. I certainly couldn't do all those tumbles or throws. You and Cecil have obviously put in a lot of practice.

"Idkat"?

It would be truly terrible if anyone were to consider it. We need your good cheer around the school. Although perhaps you're right and it might be better for all involved if you provided that cheer while not, technically, being a cheerleader.

Absolutely for that. Don't worry, Addy, we're going to pull out all the stops. (And also avoid setting anything on fire while we're at it.)

Oh yes! That makes sense. Sorry, I'm like a grandfather who's never texted when it comes to things like this.

Maybe not so many fireworks, Addy.

Oh no, I wouldn't phrase it like that. In a way, texting abbreviations are real words too. Our language continues to evolve as we find different ways to use it, and yes, one of those ways is acronyms for speed in texting or typing, but these acronyms take on their own proper semantic meanings as well. The things you say are real words... like communicating in your own English dialect.

Thank you. This is a very flammable forest. Please think of the squirrels.
