[Spring has come to Utah. Melting snow drips constantly from cabin roofs, a steady background beat as those left behind huddle together, journals open in their laps, quills and pens at the ready. The forest is hush, as waiting with them. Miles away, several students are piling into tents after a busy day with friends. They're a long way from the woods—a long way from the ever-present sensation of anticipating what will come, of being watched, of sharing their breaths with something unseen.

After the sun's glow fades from the horizon, you open your journal to see a strange new entry. It has no name, and the heavy text looks as though it was burned into the paper. If you lean in close, you smell woodsmoke. Once again, it's the Anonymous Writer.]

Classes are feeling so slow today. I guess I'm excited! I've never been to the zoo before and I think it'll be nice to do something all together outside of school again. I hope everyone staying enjoys themselves too, though. It sounds like Reece has a fun evening planned!

I hope we get to see otters hold hands. What do you think the chances are?

So, best thing about Spring Break? Sounds like a whole ton of stuff happened! I spent a lot of it in New York, for parties and stuff, but I was also checking out places to live next year! My choices are sharing an apartment, living in a dorm with no-maj students, or sharing a very small dorm they're starting with the wizarding class. So yeah, that's a decision I've got to make in... about a month. Awesome!

I was still in NYC for my birthday, so shopping and going to more things was a great way to celebrate. I only spent a short amount of time back in Philly, after all that!

I had a great time at the party with you <3

Well, I had a birthday over Spring Break too! So, I spent some of the holiday back home, obviously, but then I got to hang out with some of my old friends from Breckenridge Prep, so that was pretty great. Some of them are at Ilvermorny now, so we talked about the obvious stuff, but most of them are still at school in Colorado. We did some skiing - and I fell on my ass more than I stayed up - and played a ton of soccer in the mornings after we had parties. I feel like now the outdoor weather is picking up, it's something we should try out here!
