I don't even play Quidditch, but I swear to god, this place is not going to be the same without the senior Quidditch players around! And the cheerleaders, and the LARPers, and all of you guys.
I feel like I might change my character for next year, too. I'm not sure how yet.

The Easter weekend was really fun, sophomore Quidditch was amazing (great job guys!) and our boy Jeffy had his birthday! I even had a whole day where the Squonk didn't burst into tears!
I mean, it still doesn't like me much, or trust me, but I am still calling this a win!

So, I decided to not do the Dyngus thing with the water and branches and everything. I didn't want it to seem like I was sneaking up on you.

So, haven't used my journal in a few days because of being busy with the whole Squonk thing. Trying to research, note patterns of behaviour and whatnot. Guess what? None of it helps. It really doesn't believe that you're genuinely trying to help and look after it, which is hard when you actually are and don't know how to convince it. They're too smart and I'm not enough of a sociopath to lie convincingly to it, and if we did try, I feel like it'd have an even worse tantrum.
This is one hell of a challenge!

I SWEAR TO GOD I need to reorganise my desk, because I just lost my journal for, like, five days. Oh man. I didn't even get to write about April Fool's! I didn't see anyone playing any mean pranks, but I SWEAR I was onto Merrill pretty quick. I don't know why people were surprised Hightower and Oakes were so good at imitating each other, though.

Hey!

Well, I had a birthday over Spring Break too! So, I spent some of the holiday back home, obviously, but then I got to hang out with some of my old friends from Breckenridge Prep, so that was pretty great. Some of them are at Ilvermorny now, so we talked about the obvious stuff, but most of them are still at school in Colorado. We did some skiing - and I fell on my ass more than I stayed up - and played a ton of soccer in the mornings after we had parties. I feel like now the outdoor weather is picking up, it's something we should try out here!

It might have been one of the silliest bonding activities yet, but the Sophomore Hide and Seek was stupid fun. Where did everyone end up hiding? I went for one of the showers in the weight room and I still managed to hold out for nearly the whole game!

Knowing that Mrs O'Hare is married to THE Dr O'Hare is one of the biggest teacher related surprises since... well, finding out that Mr Hightower and Mr Oakes are married, actually.

If anyone who plays Quidditch got their ear talked off about the upcoming Gooseberry v Ilvermorny game by a tall African American guy, you met my dad. Sorry.
If anyone overheard a woman with a Colorado accent yelling about how much she would have killed to go to a school like this... you just about escaped my mom. Sorry about any eardrum damage, though.
Still, it's been great for them to see what my school looks like. I feel like they understand this experience a lot better now.

So, in advance of PTC and anyone who happens to meet my parents, I've got to warn you that my family talk. A lot. Whether they know you or don't. They also tend to confuse a lot of people and my sister is so much older than me that she's basically mom #2, so, sorry about that folks.

You spend ONE day in the library ploughing through homework...

So, hey. I wanted to ask you something.

Mom's talking about all of us going to Louisiana for Christmas. I don't know what I think about that.
