Camp looks a lot better now with the feathers gone and leaves changing. Hiking this week is going to be great.

There is literally nothing better than hiking in the fall. I love the color changes and weather getting cooler!

Oh, yeah. The temperature is good too. It's too warm when we first get here.

This week? It's pretty good all year. That's why I take so many different routes around this place.

Especially this week?

Well, I guess especially for a couple weeks while the fall foliage lasts.

I mean it is always nice but I really like the colours?

Well, that's legit. Though we're pretty used to seeing orange, hanging around Coppertale.

But it's not just orange, it's red and gold and even some purple! It's dying, but it looks so alive.

Now that's poetic.

Umm I guess so?

Well, sure. But then, maybe my brain is also addled by spending time with the people I do. Maybe it's not poetic at all...

Are there a lot of poetic people in Coppertale?

Nope.

And the loveliest thing of all is that next year the trees will grow new leaves and do it all again!

Yeah, I love that. You always have that to look forward to.

Sorry again about the feathers.

But you're right; it's beautiful outside right now. We'll have to make the most of it on Saturday.

Well, it doesn't look like it really hurt anything.

Maybe we can go on an overnight! We'll have to soon anyway before the snow moves in and it would be perfect timing.
