ESSIE AND PIPPA'S BOY SAFARI!

Today is the day of the Gooseberry Boy Safari! Essie and Pippa will be starting off after breakfast and heading for the Quidditch Pitch to catch part of the Ebonhide Team Practice. Since Quidditch and Cheer practice really isn't that exciting, they will be taking a tour of the rest of campus as well while making regular stops at the Quidditch Pitch to catch all of practices and eventually over to the forest to watch the LARPers. (Sorry Cecil, Essie is missing Outdoor Exploration again! But they'll definitely find you wherever you guys are hiking to giggle and point at.)

[OOC: I'm not doing anything super structured here, so if you would like to interact with/join/show off for these silly girls, please note your location in the comment heading, eg. 'During Ebonhide Practice' and a silly girl will be with you as soon as possible to giggle and blush. Certain YOUNG staff members are also worth giggling over, but most of them are SO OLD OMG. You can pretty much assume Essie and Pippa will be visiting everwhere on campus today. (But no locker rooms!)

Quid Practice

They're right. Quid practice really isn't that exciting. There's no crowd to show off for so Levi is practicing normally and barely paying attention to the people on the ground. When he eventually spots the Safari Rangers, he paused, recognizes Essie, waves enthusiastically, and does a looptyloop broom trick for her before he goes back to being boring again.

LARP

When he spots the Safari Rangers again at LARP, he starts to get mighty suspicious of their intentions. Could it be-- THAT THEY ARE FOLLOWING HIM BECAUSE THEY HAVE A CRUSH ON SENPAI?? Definitely.

He breaks character to wave at them before blowing a kiss in their direction. Then he bites his lower lip and strums out a jaunty tune for them on his low end ukulele. He's a bard, after all.

Pippa gets a serious fit of the giggles when Levi ~serenades~ them during LARP and applauds him after he's done. MUSIC IS THE WAY TO HER HEART.

Oh no, the girls have given him positive attention. HE EATS IT UP AND BEGS FOR MORE, bowing with flourish as Pippa applauds him.

He strums out another tune, this time making up flirtatious lyrics to flatter these two maidens fair~~~ but it's 5am and i am too lazy to come up with them so IMAGINATIONNN

Levi receives some SERIOUS EYE ROLLS both times they are recognized, but she does shyly wave back the second time. And then full out BLUSHES when he performs for them. There may be a teeny tiny crush developing on senpai.

LARP

Ravi is always wary of an audience during LARP sessions—not for his own sake, but because there are some players who'd feel self-conscious being watched, and he wants LARP to be a fun, safe, judgment-free space.

But so long as it's only Essie and Pippa, and they stay at a distance and keep their giggling relatively quiet, it's fine. Ravi might even approach them at one point and, while in character as a roguish elven thief, ask why two young maidens are out in these dangerous woods without a guard or chaperone. ;)

Pippa can't even form a coherent answer to that, and stammers and blushes madly at being called a maiden. Hopefully Essie will be able to give Ravi a suitably ~in character~ explanation!

Essie is initially as tongue-tied as Pippa is. THIS is a side of Ravi she hasn't seen before and she is starting to understand what all the fuss is about. BLUSH. She starts to insist they're just on a campus tour when she corrects herself and informs him that they're out surveying the countryside and that they are QUITE OLD ENOUGH to do so unattended.

Pippa nods vigorously at that and adds that these maidens are also QUITE CAPABLE of defending themselves.

Since this takes place at the same time as Azurcrest Quidditch practice, Diego is there to notice the two little scamps. IS THAT ESSIE AND PIPPA. Huh. If they accidentally look his way, he waves, ruining the mood. Brothers are so annoying.

This time, the worst thing in the world happens: He tries to go and talk to them.

Kurt's standing at the top of a hill. He's confused about why people are pointing at him, then realizes they're pointing behind him and turns around to see what's going on. As soon as he notices the Safari Girls the wind catches his baseball cap and knocks it away. In his flailing attempt to recover the hat, he falls backward down the other side of the hill.

This is the last the girls see of Kurt.

The first time, Diego is the recipient of serious eye rolling just like Levi and that is when Essie suggests they GO FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE to hunt.

When Diego approaches them at Outdoor Education, Essie is sufficiently horrified. Because 1) it's Diego, DUH and 2) OMG what if he figures out what they are doing.

Essie mumbles something along the lines of "This is my brother, Diego" to Pippa and gives her a LOOK that is clearly to meant to convey SOMETHING.

Pippa interprets the look correctly (she has an older brother too, Essie, she gets it) so even though Diego is kind of cute she is ALOOF and says politely, "Nice to meet you," without any giggling or blushing. Diego will never guess what they're up to.

And then Pippa turns to Essie and gives HER a look that says if Diego is embarrassing Pippa won't hold it against her. ♥

Ebonhide Quidditch Practice

Unfortunately, Essie and Pippa are right about Ebonhide's Quidditch practice too and it's not overly exciting. Casper doesn't notice the girls at all when he's on the field because, even though it's just a scrimmage, he's playing quite intensely and aggressively. When he's not on the field, however, he does glance their direction as he's brushing back his (still remarkably perfect) hair. His gaze seems to linger Pippa for a moment with recognition before he looks away again.

Worth it?

SO WORTH IT. At this point Pippa is blissfully unaware that Casper is (or soon to be) off the market, and when he glances her way she swears her heart literally skips a beat. She blushes magnificently (and considering she's ginger, this is quite a sight) and buries her face in Essie's shoulder.

OMG!! Essie starts stamping her feet in excitement against the stands and has to resist the urge to start screaming like she's at a boy band concert. There is A LOT of excited whispering to Pippa that follows.

Coppertale Quidditch Practice

The clock is ticking for Captain Stoker to turn his team into a well-oiled machine, especially with a Seeker, Keeper, Beater and Chaser who are new to their position and/or playing first string for the first time. Sy is maybe frazzled over trying to manage it all, since once he spots the Ribbonfin and Azurcrest sophomores enter the stands, he's yelling at them to GET THE HELL OUT AND SPY ON THEIR OWN TEAMS >:E

Then he grumbles about how this is probably Reid's fuckin fault. Girls are always coming around to fuckin giggle over Reid.

Pippa finds Sy EXTREMELY INTIMIDATING and clutches nervously at Essie's arm when he starts yelling at them. Maybe they should just go. :(

(Fun fact: Pippa doesn't really know who Reid is, but she's under the impression that he's actually a vampire. Everyone keeps saying he is and why would they make that kind of thing up???)

After a moment (and when Sy flies closer to see their faces), he'll realize that one of them is actually Diego's little sister, which kiiinda makes Essie his cousin too. (That blonde hair is VERY CONFUSING, okay.) Sy does not do apologies, but he'll begrudgingly tell the girls just to KEEP IT DOWN and fly off again to harangue his Keeper.

(Reid is the one who sparkles in the sunlight. Honestly, the vampire thing hasn't been disproven yet.)

Essie is equally intimidated by Sy, especially after he got mad at her list. (She was definitely NOT thinking about him kiiinda being her cousin when she made the initial list, WHOOPS.)

The fact that Sy DOES lighten up a little is certainly cause for speculation, though considerably more somber than at the earlier Ebonhide practice.

(Essie has no idea about Reid's supernatural status, but she probably HAS seen Mina's prom photos on more than one occasion. Of course vampire lore is so varied those can hardly serve as definitive evidence.)

(LMFAO IT'S OK it literally just occurred to me too skjdfhkj. But I think it's like... he sees Diego as family, but does not see Mina and Estella as family bc lack of [honestly dubious] genetic link. Still, they are Diego's sisters, so they are strictly off-limits when it comes to... flirting or being mean or w/e. He just leaves the Tran sisters alone normally. Bro code. :C)
