ST. PATRICK'S DAY PITY PARTY

Oh my god. You are so hungover. Or maybe your friend is hungover. Either way, everyone knows Gooseberry goes hard on St. Patrick's Day, and this year was no exception. It's tradition for everyone to drag themselves out to Coppertale to try and recover and look for some pity.

WHAT'S GOING ON

• This is a simple IC/OOC for all your hurt/comfort hangover needs.


• This is very freeform! Use the elsewhere header if you want to do a scene... well, elsewhere.


• If you come to hassle the poor drunks you'll be asked to leave! Haven't they suffered enough?

» Coppertale: The fire pit has been lit, there's coffee, water, and a nice simple breakfast. Vector passes through once, and clucks her tongue at the sick children. She doesn't bother to speak quietly if engaged, but she doesn't comment on the evidence of a party as long as no one looks bad enough to see Mufferaw. She doesn't linger long.

» The Lodge: Addy Foster-Hayes is reportedly brewing a hangover cure. There's also food available in the cafeteria, and plenty of big cushy chairs in the atrium.

» Elsewhere: Anything else goes here.

Diego & Ravi & Senior Ribbonfin Boys

Diego forgets where he is when he wakes up. It takes him a second to realize this is not his bed. This isn't even his cabin. Diego's head is pounding and his stomach is churning uncomfortably, but he's coherent enough to take in his surroundings this time. It's very plain. No frivolous decorations. Not even a photograph. The messiest thing in here is Diego's hair.

Notably, Ravi is no longer with him. Diego lets himself wallow in his disappointment (and his headache) for a minute before he finally peeks out from behind the privacy curtain to see what's going on outside. Wait. Where are his glasses? Ugh.

Some pathetic noises can be heard as Diego retreats back into the bed to look for his glasses, which are safely sitting on Ravi's desk below him.

Ravi is reading a book when Diego finally wakes up. There's little physical evidence that Ravi spent most of the night on this couch, because while the loveseat is definitely not as comfortable as a bed (tiny or otherwise), it's much easier to make yourself look presentable in the morning when you are completely, cheerfully sober.

"Good morning, sunshine," Ravi says in a singsong voice when he sees that Diego is up. "If your stomach is still feeling a little tender, I made some ginger tea this morning. I used warming charms, so it's still nice and hot. Also, your glasses are on my desk." He flips the page of his novel, without getting up.

The 'good morning' is met with a pitiful moan and a little more rustling. Moments later, Diego drags himself out of the bed and down the ladder. It's nothing short of a miracle that he doesn't fall on the way down. His coordination is not at its peak this morning.

Diego's dressed the way he fell asleep: just in his boxers. He follows Ravi's instructions and finds his glasses, however, and spots one of his many layers. He puts on the delicately pattered cardigan, and doesn't bother to button it before going to sit down next to Ravi in search of that tea.

"You're a saint," he mumbles, "an angel."

If Ravi spends any time peeking over the edge of his book at Diego, it's because he's concerned about whether or not Diego will fall off the ladder. No other reason. Ravi has never done anything inappropriate in his life.

His face remains carefully impassive as Diego makes his way over to him, and Ravi leans forward to pour Diego a cup from the antique green teapot that is one of his favourite possessions. He stirs a bit of honey in it with a spoon, and straightens up to hand the cup and saucer to Diego, all the while careful to keep his eyes strictly above collarbone-level.

Ravi can't maintain his stern expression as he listens to Diego's sad-sounding endearments, though. "You're only saying that because you're currently weak and defenseless."

Diego doesn't hesitate when handed a cup and saucer. He takes the saucer in his right hand, and the cup in his left, surprisingly regal and mannerly despite his hungover state. There's a whiff of old blood etiquette to the way he sips his tea, like falling back on half-forgotten habits now that there's no one around but Ravi to watch. It looks more than a little silly with him half dressed, eyes barely open behind his glasses.

"Then you should instead be called my savior." Diego's voice is still a pathetic murmur. "My hero, my knight in shining armor." His head then flops over onto Ravi's shoulder.

Ravi's novel sits completely forgotten as he watches Diego handle the teacup. There's finally a smile when that curly-haired head hits Ravi's shoulder, and he hmmms in a way that's not totally disapproving.

"And would that make you my liege lord, then?" He speaks softly, not wanting to aggravate Diego's headache. "My prince charming?"

"I could be." Diego turns his head enough to kiss Ravi's through his shirt. A sudden wash of affection leads Diego to continue to gently mash his face into Ravi's shoulder. "In like... three hours. I'm not at my most charming right now."
