So some shit happened on the anonymous post. So I've decided to take the advice of who I'm entirely certain was Tess and come to you. I've been helping him with school all year.

He's kind of progressively getting worse. Like I don't think he's a dumbass. I think he's really selectively smart. And I think being forced into this box of public education, and how the rest of the school views him is making him feel stupid, and feeling stupid is making him perform worse, and that makes him act out, because performing worse is validating how stupid he feels. He seriously believes that he's on the verge of flunking out, and I believe that bothers him a lot more than he lets on.

So basically, I believe that Robin is like internally drowning and I don't know if I can like fucking save him. I'm not trained for this shit, I'm not a fucking life guard, Ramirez. And he's been asking for help, but he's a fucking idiot so he doesn't do it right because that's just fucking conditioning. And not all of us can just speak our minds and ask for help plainly, that's not fucking natural for a lot of us. So I'm gonna do it for him because I'm awesome at this shit when it's got nothing to do with me.

I agree, Robin is very intelligent. I also agree that classes seem very hard for him anyway. There is a system to being good in school, and it does not come naturally to everyone.

I know he does not trust me, and he is proud and may be offended by my help. But. If you will tell me the classes he is in danger of failing, I will speak to his teachers and explain that it is not a lack of effort or skill that is the problem. I have spent four years building a reputation as a teacher's pet, this seems like a good enough time to take advantage of that. It got Ty out of a letter to his parents so why not Robin

we skipped the zoo trip and hung out instead. and I got Tess to distract Robin so we could be alone in the cabin.

and we played like three fucking hours of normal chess, but we kept stalemating, so we decided to do it naked. It felt like a reasonable next step

But there was this really intense conversation on the anonymous post that was clearly by Youngblood, so he bursted into our cabin, because we accidentally pissed off Tess, and demanded a hug. And also pot but I don't have pot, because I gave all my pot to Stamper when I started lent which was a terrible fucking idea because that was like three hundred dollars worth of pot and I didn't even fucking succeed. I failed lent twice and the first time was her fault. And it wasn't even with pot. Terrible decision.

Anyway. I didn't have pot. So I gave him a hug. But since i'd just lost I was naked, and because there was an intense conversation on the anonymous post I decided to give him a pep talk and tell him that he's awesome and shit. While naked hugging him.

Having an intimate or a potentially intimate moment interrupted has to be uncomfortable. Add in the fact that Rosy may not've been fully dressed either, that she knows Robin, and that the interruption went on for a while and I could see that making anyone feel that way. If Robin really needed reassurance, I'm sure Rosy understands that you were just trying to be a good friend, but she might still be feeling awkward about the whole thing.

I don't know if the hug would've been a specific problem for her or if just the situation overall was, but you should talk to her. Just let her know that you're sorry if what happened made her uncomfortable and let her talk through things with you if she wants to, but don't push her. Because that will just make it worse. [...] Levi and I have conversations like that sometimes. We have very different comfort levels, so sometimes he can say or do things I'm not comfortable with without intending to. But as long as he respects how I feel and we can talk through it or put it aside, things are always all right.
