EASTER EGG HUNT

EASTER EGG HUNT
It's a bright, sunny morning already, perfect for the festivities to come. The house elves have been very hard at work before students gather for the annual Easter egg hunt, hiding eggs all over campus.
The staff and house elves insist all students must have a good, hearty breakfast before the hunt begins. The picnick tables have been set out in the gardens, and the pastel decorations are quaint and endearing if you have an eye for cute. They might be a little saccharine for some students' tastes.
Oakes has a special gift for the students as well. He has baskets full of shimmering eggs, that he's magically filled with glitter and charmed to explode upon impact. He's cordoned off an area a little out of the way where students can throw eggs at one another, but does warn that the glitter sticks. Good news: you won't rub off much on other people. Bad news: it takes effort to get off. Either way, it's a good way to pass the time untim the hunt.

When it's time for the hunt, the prize is presented: a massive bunny plush. It's huge. Getting it home is going to be a pain. Still, if you find the largest number of eggs, it's all yours! There will be a count done to see which house found the most eggs as well, but the only prize is bragging rights.
Competitors line up, and everyone is given a basket laced with a ribbon matching their house's color. Finally, Thorn blows a whistle, loosing them on the gardens and fields!

HOW THIS WORKS
- At 9:00 AM, breakfast is available out in the gardens. It's a crisp 55°F.
- At 10:30 AM, students are released for the Easter egg hunt! The range of the hunt exends along all trails and public areas outside, but never more than 3' from the trail.
- There are dyed hardboiled eggs, plastic eggs full of candy, and wrapped chocolates hidden all around campus. Each item counts as one for the sake of the contest.
- Hunters have one hour to search for prizes!
- At the end of the hour, the participants will have their prizes counted up and the winner will be awarded the bunny. Congratulations.
- Staff will be on hand, scattered around campus, to punish misbehavior.
- There is a cordoned off area for throwing glitter eggs at one another. If you enter the area (i.e. post your character there) you may get glitter bombed. The glitter filled eggs cannot be stolen, nor can they be thrown outside the limits of the area set aside for this.

How hard are they trying?: And do you want them to win?
What are they going to do with that bunny if they win?: It's almost more of a burden than a prize.
» BREAKFAST IN THE GARDENS: The flowers are beginning to bloom, and there are picnic tables and blankets out to sit, eat and socialize during or after the hunt. There's quiche, french toast with blueberry compote, hardboiled eggs, eggs benedict, cinnamon buns, fruit, and pancakes. There are vegan versions available.
» Glitter eggs: There's a roped off area where you can throw glitter filled eggs at anyone else within the boundaries of the game. There's a charm that bounced back any eggs you try to throw outside the ropes, and will stop you little monsters from stealing them.
» THE HUNT: Post the above form here if your character is entering the competition.

Dimi & Sylla
Until his question brings her back. Chewing daintily at her cinnamon bun helps her from smiling too wide. "No, I do not," she breezily replies. "Not that it has ever stopped me from attending several of the other dances before." Yes. Very necessary to add that, she thinks to herself. Independent and not needing a date and all that. Good on you, Sylla. Tucking a stray wisp of hair back into her hat, she believes she sounds ever so casual as she asks Dimi, "And you?"
Dimi & Sylla
He laughs. "Maybe you can give me some advice on how a very fit, very clever girl might like to be asked to prom?"
Dimi & Sylla
"American traditions of asking young ladies to dances are hardly my specialty, I'm afraid. There are no such books on the topic, not even in Daddy's library," she sighs heavily, barely able to contain her sly smile, which finally creeps out. "More over, I personally do not have much personal experience on the matter." The Borgins are. . .not exactly approachable, she knows, at least not until she herself has plotted out ways to make herself so. She isn't sure whether she should be proud of this feat, or admire him for being brave enough to do so.
No, it's a much better thought to think of this as a personal feat of her own. She prefers it that way. Worthiness and all that sort that she reads about in her books.
That time, at least, upon finishing her last drawled thought, she does make a point to blink slowly. She supposes it could be taken as batting her eyelashes.
Dimi & Sylla
Again he finds himself staring far too long after she's stopped talking. He laughs in a way that might almost be described as bashful. It's an odd and unfamiliar feeling, being flustered, but he perseveres and remains in character, tapping his mouth with his index finger as he muses, "I suppose my only option is to ask her outright."
Dimi drops his arms to his sides, linking his hands behind his back. He shifts his weight to seem more confident than he's feeling. "Would you accompany me to prom, Sylla? Be my date?"
Dimi & Sylla
Well, she'll keep telling herself that her plot worked. She likes that feeling.
When he does ask, she stands up straighter. She smooths her skirt out and claps her palms to her hips, rocking slightly on her heels and trying not to look too self-satisfied. Sylla has a moment where she wonders if it's better to keep him in suspense, or to keep him guessing, but that would require more thought. As it would pretending like she doesn't want this outcome in the first place. No, that wouldn't do.
"Yes," she answers with a confident, proud smile. "I would like that very much." She has no pretense of asking if she's sure. Mummy taught her that Burke self-worth, after all. Any bloke should be pleased to be her escort to a dance. "Absolutely, yes," Sylla grins with a small, murmuring giggle that could almost be taken as girlish.
But she's all right with being girlish and sweet. She can be both girlish and strong. She knows that.
Re: Dimi & Sylla
Now what? Bugger. It seems odd to make small talk after that. And there's still more than a month to go before prom. Do they even need to discuss plans, yet? Probably not. Cross that bridge when they get there. Part of Dimi would be perfectly content to stand around and gawk at Sylla Borgin, who just agreed to go to prom with him - what an odd turn of events this has been - but that is not the most slick course of action.
After a moment, he gives her a polite nod. "Well, I should grab a bite before the hunt. I'll let you get back to your breakfast, then. Cheers!"
