Sincere Delivery for Saira Raza

At breakfast, Saira Raza gets an unexpected visitor: her brother, Kazim. ... Or maybe we should say two unexpected visitors, as she receives both her brother and a gigantic plush bunny. Like, look at that thing. It's massive. It's unneccessary. It's gaudy. And now, it's all Saira's.

"I won this for you, Saira." He explains with a straight face, plopping the rabbit onto the chair beside Saira's. Those who don't know him may not realize it's a joke, albeit not the nicest one since he is saddling his little sister with an overwhelmingly large and useless plush rabbit. "Happy Easter."

... The Razas don't celebrate Easter.

[The plush rabbit was Kazim's share of the Egg Hunt spoils from Sunday. He considered his chocolates and candies a fair price to pay for the chance to embarrass his sister in public.]

Saira is- as one would likely guess- studying at breakfast, and so she does not notice Kazim's approach until he's almost literally placing a rabbit half as tall as she is in her lap. She startles, blinks owlishly at her brother as she comes out of her Reading Fugue, and then turns to stare at the bunny. And stare. And stare. And keep staring.

"Are you serious?" she asks finally, though it's not really a question since she knows the answer.

To his credit, Kazim does look like he's reconsidering his actions. His mouth twists in thought, he nods his head a little back and forth, weighing options, and finally he shrugs and nods for real. "You're right," He pats her on the shoulder and then begins to walk away, adding over his shoulder, "Happy early birthday, too."

"Is it a late one as well?" Saira calls after him, oh-so-sweetly. She doesn't expect an answer and does not look for one, instead turning back to eye the bunny.

It is large.

She is not carrying it to class, if for no other reason than that Merrill will like it far too much.

"If my books are touched while I am gone, I will sick Rafael Ramirez on all of you," she informs anyone within earshot, and sets about lugging the thing back to Coppertale.
