ANON POST PARTY

HOW THIS WORKS

• This is not an anti-anon post party. It's just a party taking place at the same time as the anonymous post.


• You don't need to surrender your journal to attend.


• It's taking place at Azurcrest.


• If you do want to surrender your journal, however, there's a trunk that Cecil Honeychurch, Ravinder Dhaliwal and Diego Morales have enchanted to only open for the three of them when they're all present. At the beginning of the party, you can give them your journals and they'll leave them locked up for the night. Diego says the only downside is that if one of the three of them dies, you'll never get your journal back. It's unclear if he's joking or not.


• The party starts at sunset, just as the anonymous writer is expected to appear. It'll go until the anon post dies down, around 1 or 2 AM.


• As this is taking place at a campground, if you plan on drinking or smoking, you need to be covert about it. There will be a Naughty Children section of the party where you can sneak off to drink. If you don't get shit faced and wander into the main party area, you'll be fine.


• Kissing games are self-serve. Post your character under the header, and reply to the people your character "randomly" kissed.

» BEFORE THE PARTY: Students are antsy, as Saturday has been a long day of nothing, which will be immediately followed by a lot of excitement. A party, the anon post, and tomorrow the game!

» OPTIONAL JOURNAL LOCKUP: If your character would like to avoid the temptation to look at the anonymous post, reply here letting us know they locked up their journal. There will be no consequences for doing so, except that if you do, you may not reply to the anonymous post with the character in question.

» AROUND THE FIRE: The fire pit has been lit, and there are plenty of benches and blankets around it to sit on. Roast marshmallows, hang out with your friends, listen to music, etc.

» KISSING GAMES: A handful of students gather around an empty beer bottle to partake in Spin the Bottle and Seven Minutes in Heaven. People puzzle for a little over what to use in lieu of a closet, and settle on a tiny clearing off the path, hidden by trees. It's a favorite outdoor makeout spot up at Azurcrest.

» THE CABINS: You can only enter a cabin by invitation.

» NAUGHTY CHILDREN: Some students are dissatisfied by the dry party, and slip off to a little spot behind the senior girls' cabin. It's very secluded, and gives an impressive view of the forest beyond the cliffs. Here you're free to indulge in illegal substances, as long as you're smart about it.

» TRUTH OR SHOT: A game of good old Truth or Shot breaks out in the secret party within a party. A bottle of whiskey is passed around to the people being asked questions, so really it's more "Truth or Swig".

This goes without saying, but Cecil locked up his journal before the party and is trying not to worry about what's going on when he's not looking. Please be nice to each other, guys? But hopefully this initiative has allowed some people to set the Anonymous Post and the gossip (often ugly and hateful) aside for the month.

Diego & Ravi

Diego always wears a little more jewelry than the average guy. There are four pieces he's never seen without, and the rest rotate regularly, fluctuating depending on weather, activity and fashion whims. The last couple days, however, have seen Diego's number of bracelets climb noticeably. When he reaches over into Ravi's lap to take one hand in both of his, the beads make a gentle noise that's barely audible over the sounds of the party.

As he leans into Ravi, he takes a quick glance around them just to make sure no one will overhear. "Hey," he says. This is a question that needs to be eased into.

Etta & Sun-mi

Etta swears she only brought her journal to the party to lock it away, since she wanted to support Diego's idea, but... she can't resist taking a little peek now and again. It's pretty much standard Anonpost fare, but occasionally she has to comment, such as when someone had the nerve to call her team mediocre (!) or the merits of fake cake versus real cake. What really alarms her is when someone asks her if she's into promposals. Etta seriously hopes they're joking, and shuts her journal with a decisive snap, leaning back on the blanket and stretching her legs out towards the fire.

She's got a little supply of marshmallows next to her, and starts threading them onto a stick, wishing she'd thought to grab some chocolate too.

Neil

Neil absolutely has his nose in his journal for most of the night, which periodically makes him wonder why he didn't just stay in again. But he's here, and he's... participating?

When left to his own devices, he sits on a log speaking to no one. He occasionally scribbles something into the void of the anonymous post, while his other hand holds a s'more he was too busy to actually melt the marshmallow for.

The anonymous post wasn't too bad for a little bit, at least. Xavier even got some good advice! And then a certain exchange made it not so fun anymore. He sucks his teeth as he shuts the notebook and stuffs it in his back pocket. Should've put it in the chest. Oh well.

His attention freed up, Xavier plops down by the fire and begins rooting around in the overstuffed bag he brought, producing a variety of his typical-but-not-normal s'more ingredients. He looks up after tearing open a box of pop-tarts. Spotting Reid, he flags him down with a beckoning arm wave. "You want one?"

With a game tomorrow, Xavier, himself, may not be binging on sugar but that doesn't mean he can't enable (or disable) his classmates.

The night before a game is usually really early to bed with plenty of water and review of plays. But the anonpost fell in an unholy way. Leo is here both to be with Rafael, of course, but also to monitor the movement of his team. If he sees any of them try to slip into the Naughty Corner for "just one shot," they're getting a talking to.

Otherwise, when left to his own devices, he'll sit around the fire doing actual Transfiguration homework at an actual party. It's necessary, because he knows whatever happens after tomorrow, he's not going to feel much like working, and he's already a little behind. He might deserve to be mocked harshly, anyway.

Quinn is open and this starter is unhelpful!

Once a feverish anonymous poster, it's kind of losing the appeal for Quinn thanks to how Anon/The Entity/Whatever It Is That Isn't A Bear is starting to really creep her out. She peeks at her journal a few times, writes a few comments, and always quickly closes it back up. Inevitably, as soon as the journal is closed, she bursts into Social Butterfly mode to compensate for probably being a bitch anonymously. She's here, she's trying to distract herself from the post, she's probably going to try and chat to your character.
