MVSC PHOTOBOOTH

Yesterday, Micah St. Clair brought out his magical photobooth, which takes animated wizarding photos. It was set to not simply spit out a line of four shots, but to generate trading cards! Xavier Lewis and Faye Turner paid Micah for their respective house teams to get cards made. Mr. Oakes will explain to anyone nosy that, no, Mr. St. Clair isn't running a lucrative business out of the artificing shed. Rather, this money goes into a fund that Mr. Oakes uses to help Micah order expensive photography supplies.

After posing, you end up with something a little like this:

RULES

• This IC/OOC is partially backdated to 5/6/14, but your character can naturally get their photo taken today as well.


• Only Ribbonfin and Coppertale Quidditch and Cheer may get a photo taken.


• The cards list your character's name, position, birth date, hometown, height and weight, and there's an additional magically generated blurb that can get a little quirky. It seems to be the result of a charm that tries a little too hard to say flattering things about the subject.


• (The night before, Calvin was working on this particular charm and trying to make it a little less backhanded and a touch more coherent, but Micah assured him that it was perfect.)


• If your character had their photo taken, the cards will be distributed randomly for trading and collecting!


• Calvin Evercreech, who's being a less-than-charming assistant, dryly jokes that if you collect them all, Micah St. Clair will give you a kiss.


• ... If you do, in fact, want to collect them all, please make a comment titled GOTTA CATCH' EM ALL under Collectors, and we'll RNG how many of the 32 total cards they managed to get their hands on. Reward kisses are not guaranteed, as Calvin lacks the authority to tell his classmates who they have to lock lips with.

Remember: this is only for Ribbonfin and Coppertale Quidditch and Cheer. We'll repeat this event before the next game so Ebonhide and Azurcrest will have their turn.

Can't decide if this is genius or horrifying, but either way, she wants to collect her entire team. If she's allowed to flex in her glamour shot, you better believe she's gonna do that.

Spends ages trying out different angles and poses even though... these are wizarding photos... (It makes a difference! Your photo won't look good if you weren't even trying.) She is going to lie about her weight (unless that is also magically generated).

Her own trading card?! Heck yeah! (Is she allowed to pose with Hazel? No, that's not how trading cards work? Sad) She is still an enthusiastic participant in this and gives a few sassy poses since wizarding photos move XD

This is a really fun idea and Marilyn is definitely going to participate! She doesn't much care for how she looks, and is all smiles and laughter as she takes the photo

GUESS WHO DOESN'T NEED AN AMENDMENT TODAY?! THAT'S RIGHT, CASEY!!!!

He takes his shirt off and if anyone tries to make him put it back on he'll demand, "Would you tell a fuckin' Chaser to put the Quaffle away? Fuckin' NO."

He's hamming it up, looking over his shoulder at the camera and posing with some bright orange pom poms.

This is the best day of his life.

Eventually Holden caves and pops in for a quick serious-faced picture.

Is so completely all about this. It takes him a while to stop laughing once he gets in the booth, but he does manage a finger gun and wink right at the end.

Also he totally wears that fucking flower crown.

Chris doesn't even have to be talked into it. This is trading cards. What kid doesn't wanna have their own trading card?

Olivia

This is adorable. She might have her eyes set on a light weight boxing champion mantel, but she also wants her face on a trading card.

The pose she strikes is very uncheerleaderlike tho. She does a serious one two punch pose.

Sylvester

Sy has a goddamn game to focus on, but he's not going to say no when Faye put her actual money into this for some inexplicable reason. "Fuckin' fine, I'll fuckin' do it," he complains, not very vehemently. His trading card pose, of course, is the Stoker stance.

Sun-mi

Sun-mi needs absolutely zero encouragement to flirt with a camera. This is amazing and she'll thank Xavier and Micah later.

Ty

Ty doesn't get to cheer today. He will, in fact, never get to cheer with Coppertale again. But that doesn't mean he isn't still part of the squad! He definitely hits the photobooth before the match to get a card and he's all big smiles and ridiculous poses.

Faye

Casey................... has hatched a plan, and tries to borrow green Ribbonfin pom poms to pose for a Ribbonfin photo, as well.

Dominic is definitely doing this for the lols, and will be flashing that broad grin and excellent hair in every damn picture. Because that's how he rolls.

She may be a bit more prim than some of the others on the squad, but she still loves a camera and this will be one of her last chances to show off as captain!

She smiles prettily for each photo and has elegant poise - because that's what her cheer photo is remembered for, right?

Reid

Reid's doing this because everyone else is doing this. He's unfairly photogenic, and could possibly pursue a career in modelling if Quidditch doesn't work out.

Avery

Finds this fun and a nice bit of stress relief before such an important game. She does he really best to strike a nice pose and waits to see what it says about her!

Roxie

Most of Roxie's promotional material for Nox encourages a certain amount of poised neatness. So she absolutely revels in showing up for this portrait messy-haired and laughing.

Milo

After being convinced by Xavier, Milo decides to play along. He doesn't really know how to pose but has a really cute smile.

Charlotte

Charlie spent way too long on her makeup and there's a thick cat-eye thing going on because she struggled to get her eyeliner even. Even though she's a Quidditch player now, she still poses like a cheerleader and she holds the broom between her legs while giving a coy look to the camera.

GOTTA CATCH' EM ALL: Lachlan

Lachlan isn't the biggest fan of Quidditch (he still prefers good ol' football, thank you very much!), but he is the type to collect things and he takes a shine to these funny little cards with his classmates on them. He'd like to see how many he can get his hands on! And he may bargain with other people down the line to get a full set.

Because a set isn't a set if it's not complete.

Micah's busy executing his artistic vision, which means Calvin is sitting outside the photobooth for the majority of its operating hours. He's on hand to make sure no one damages the equipment, show people how it works, spread rumours about Micah's willingness to kiss avid collectors, and be passably helpful. He's in a noticeably foul mood, but if your character has questions, he may have answers.
