RULES:

The game lasts only one hour, even if the Snitch is not caught.

American rules apply.

Bludgers are moving at only 75% speed to start out, and only cause bruising.

The teams are given jerseys, which are actually just a bunch of Transfigured Gooseberry tees that were donated to them by Mr. Thorn.

Mr. Thorn is present, but Milo Greer is the acting referee.

There is no way I'm going to do those detailed write-ups Marin does, but I'll give some highlights!

CLEAR EYES v. FULL HEARTS

The whistle blows, and Solomon jumps into action, grabbing the Quaffle and passing it to Essie.

The opposing chasers on Clear Eyes pursue the Quaffle down the field. Essie scores one goal before Cash intercepts a pass, assisted by a Bludger from Todd that hits Jade solidly in the shoulder.

Cash loops around and flies as far down the field as he can, with Jade hot on his heels, undeterred by her new bruise. Milo steals control of the Bludger and sends it at Cash, who passes the Quaffle to Hazel just before he's hit in the thigh and sent off-course.

Hazel and Cash coordinate to finally make some goals, while Calvin and Todd contest the more experienced Charlotte for the Bludger, which ends up easier said than done. They take it back for Clear Eyes just long enough for their Chasers to get three goals in on Cole.

However, when Cole blocks the fourth goal, he angles it right into the hands of Jeffy, who acrobatically loops around the competing Beaters and gets all the way down the pitch with no one to stop him.

The combined experience of Jeffy and Solomon helps them rack up points against Issy quickly as the action has moved down to Clear Eyes' goalposts.

Frankie and Will are right on them, though, and when Calvin and Todd break up Full Hearts' formation, they steal the Quaffle back.

The Snitch appears near the goalposts, and Bianca and Micah are both quick to react. Unfortunately, it's on the opposite side of the pitch from them, and there are fourteen Sophomore-shaped obstacles to avoid. They weave through the other players, but Micah's willingness to risk nearly crashing into Todd allows him to get there sooner. He zips right through the middle goal, and when he swoops back around, it's clear he's caught the Snitch!

CLEAR EYES WINS, 110 to 80. The Snitch was caught.

» THE PLAYERS: The second match is over, hopefully you felt a little more prepared this time!

» THE AUDIENCE: Hopefully these adorable babies ~~who want to stop being called babies~~ have some fans!

» HAPPY BIRDDAY BIRTHJAYS: Calvin, with the help of some of their friends, has arranged another surprise party, this time for Estella Morales-Tran and Micah St. Clair. The party is sophomores-only, and because of the nice weather, takes place by the docks.

» THE party: There's cake and music and decorations. Everyone wish Micah and Essie a happy sweet sixteen!

» THE lake: It's going to reach about 80°F/26°C today, so it's warm enough to swim. Some people might prefer to sit on the docks and heckle, considering that the water's still pretty chilly.

» truth or hug: Calvin personally thinks this sounds worse than original flavor truth or shot, and he was hungover from exactly that yesterday.

» THE piñata: There's an obnoxious blue bird piñata hanging from a nearby tree. Take a swing at it, and its size and magical nature guarantees there will be enough candy for everyone. This is an RNG game. Everyone can take one swing at the piñata!
