BUBBLE TROUBLE IN EBONHIDE!

Having been deprived of nice, relaxing bubble baths for far too long, Kazim Raza adds a self-concocted Potion to his morning shower. What he wants is a bubbly break from end-of-year stress... what the Ebonhide boys get is a washroom FULL OF BUBBLES.

Within thirty seconds the bubbles reach the ceiling of his stall; within a minute they've reached every shower stall and are frothing out of the windows; within a minute and a half they're flowing into the toilet stalls and out the front door.

Ebonboys abandon toothbrushes and beauty regimens, fleeing to the relative safety of the outdoors. Over the next few minutes others join to watch as pale rainbow-hued bubbles take over the washroom.

If nothing else, the bubbles' mild scent of jasmine and sandalwood is pleasing.

HOW THIS WORKS

• This is completely optional! (Obviously!) If you would prefer your character is not inconvenienced by bubbles, they don't have to be!


• Although only the boys' washroom is under siege, the bubbles and commotion are noticeable to others around Ebonhide.


• The bubbles begin shortly before breakfast and last for fifteen minutes. The potion produces new bubbles even after Kazim shuts off his shower tap. After ten minutes the bubbles stop reproducing and spend the next five minutes popping until none are left.


• These are pesky bubbles! You can pop them but it won't do much good! Charms won't work! Shouting doesn't intimidate them! The only thing to do is wait.


• Smelling the bubbles may have a calming effect on observers. It's not a potent feeling—it's like pulling on warm socks that just came out of the dryer, or having just had a really good hug, or completeing an important task that's been weighing on you for weeks. (It's up to you if you want your character to feel the effect! It lasts half an hour.)

Kazim motions for Takeru to put out his hand. This is probably not one of those 'pull my finger' pranks.

Casper hates his life

Casper had just wanted to take a fucking shower. When the bubbles began overflowing from Kazim's stall and making their way into his he'd stopped washing, wrapped a towel around his waist, grabbed his clothes, and gotten the hell out of there at a brisk walk. He was not going to flee from bubbles. Now he stands outside of the washroom, dripping and glaring daggers at...pretty much everyone.

He isn't embarrassed to be half-dressed and have his lean, athletic figure on display but he is visibly irritated at being inconvenienced. And the magical properties of the bubbles have either not had any effect on him or have barely taken enough of an edge off for it to matter.

Damnit, Kazim.

Neil stands outside and watches as bubbles pour out of the windows and doorway, toothbrush hanging from his mouth.

Kazim squeaks his rubber ducky at Neil. Squeak squeak, Neil. Enjoy your breather in the fresh mountain air!

Kazim looks like he's proud of his bubble babies

As Kazim stands in the grass (wearing only shower shoes and a towel tied around his waist), watching his bubbly creation take over the boys' washroom, he looks... remarkably unfazed.

He assures onlookers that it only takes less than twenty minutes for the bubbles to stop reproducing and to finish popping into oblivion. To his credit, they will be.

Ulysses assumes this was an intentional prank, and to be honest, he thinks it was a good one. He gives Kazim a thumbs up. Nicely done, Raza.

Leo has another reason to use this icon

Leo didn't shower as early as he usually does this morning. He was done when they started happening, but this just means his pants were Bubbled up to his knees by the time he stepped out of the bathroom. He tries to vanish them but it's a losing battle by far.

The look that Leo receives from Casper very much seems to be asking for permission to murder his roommate. Would this upset Leo? Surely not.

comes skittering around the corner after he hears someone scream. He... thinks this is really funny, and probably spends a solid two and a half mins batting at the bubbles like a cat or a small child from just outside the bathroom doorframe. Goodbye, toothbrush. You were worth the sacrifice.

Clem hears the commotion too and is happy to come out onto the girls' cabin patio to wolf whistle at passing towel-clad boys.

Is late getting up and to the showers. Will be late to breakfast. Alas.

He's approaching, cleanish shirt slung over his shoulder and toiletries in hand, when the bubbles burst out the front door. Takeru is screaming. Casper is half naked. Kazim is a person, in general.

He looks at this, says a firm and quiet "no" to himself, and turns around to head back to his cabin.

This isn't actually supposed to be a real IC/OOC. I was writing the Plot Calendar comment for this event and when it became three paragraphs I decided I'd also post a little IC notification of what happened. And then I thought I'd have an IC and an OOC comment in case anyone wanted to react, and then I found a cute gif, and then I figured Marin's IC/OOC HTML was easier than coding things myself, and one thing led to another, and... uhhhhh....... I made this?

ANYWAYS. Because this was only supposed to be a paragraph beginning with "FYI, this morning Kazim..." I won't be sad if nobody posts to this. 💜
