KISSING DAY

RULES

Kissing Day is the day before the summer solstice! It's considered good luck to get kissed today, and bad luck and a year of loneliness if you don't get a kiss, or if the object of your affection refuses a kiss from you.

The melodrama of what it means if you don't get the right kiss can vary, so feel free to have your characters be incredibly melodramatic or extremely exasperated over this superstition.

Simply comment with your character's name and form below, and then respond to others who have posted their characters!

Some students may be under the impression that more kissing = more luck. Will anything special happen if you collect the most kisses? (... probably not, but you'll sure feel loved.)

Chris smooths back Hazel's hair, kisses the top of her head again and says wistfully, "You're gonna go far, kid" before finally releasing her.

Studying. Yes. They should really do that. Leo doesn't particularly want to. There's so much to do, even though there are really only five days left in school. Which isn't much incentive to stay away from Rafael, while they're guaranteed to be under relatively the same roof. He forces himself to hold back a solid six inches away from Rafael's lips, to practice self control. He doesn't love it.

"That's fair. Silent studying?" Maybe that wouldn't help either. "On opposite ends of the room?" He'd forgotten how miserable studying could be.

"You're such a party pooper," Hazel states, going back to her original plan of pouting. "What if I'm one kiss away from finding happiness, Calvin? If I end up alone I'm blaming you. You'll have to live with that for the rest of your life."

"Probably about the biting, but since he doesn't have a lot of practice he might be a total kissing disaster."

As Micah pulls out his bingo card Ramon can't help but peek. And he definitely almost laughs. He covers the sound with a little cough. He's glad when his hand is taken and he's dragged off.

This catches Hazel a little off guard, and her smile turns into her biting her lip as she glances off. "...don't get sappy just yet. That's for graduation."

Receptiveness: Tess has been hard pressed to really get into these sort of fun trivialities, but if any of her friends want to give her a smooch, she won't tell them no.

"You know," Lucas' brain detours, for the briefest of moments, to how Bash is probably a dark wizard with mind control powers. Because that is literally the only way Lucas can explain how he keeps winding up in these situations, as though compelled; always completely unprepared. Well, okay, that's a lie. There are other explanations, too. The jokes, that laugh, the ridiculous conversations, that face...

Wow, okay, you are really pushing the limits of what can be considered a brief moment, Lucas. Rein it in.

"If you really wanted to be saved from fresh air, snow-capped peaks and sweeping vistas," Lucas can feel his cheeks burning. His feet start to bounce. Can't turn back now, though. "I might be able to help."

Cameron borrows Riley's hot pink lipstick, applies it liberally, then gives her a sloppy kiss.

Ew.

"If you're looking for a gentle kisser, he ain't the one anyhow," Cameron points out wisely.

Ari offers Ramon a wave and a smirk when she passes him in the halls shortly after lunch. "Kiss for good luck?" she ask. Did she steal Charlotte's line? ... yes. Yes she did.

"Nothing! I've just been trying to find him, and he's probably trying to find me... I hope." She knew better than to doubt it, but there was always a nagging voice in the back of her mind that doubted things when they were going well.

Chris waits a very long beat and then says "....I was quoting a song," just a little bit awkwardly. And then him being aware that he went from obnoxious to awkward makes him feel more awkward because gross he almost got sappy accidentally. "Kay gotta go, not gonna get sappy at graduation so don't expect it." He definitely calls that over his shoulder because he's definitely fleeing from the scene.

Probably not the weirdest request he's got here, and thus Leo looks like he's thinking about this very seriously. "Huh." He says, nodding. "I get it. But you'd have to be careful. I've only bit off a couple fingers and noses so far. But I can never really control it. It's weird."

Cameron is willing to risk his life in the pursuit of maximum kisses.

He gives Casper a quick peck, counting on the element of surprise to survive, then BOLTS in the opposite direction. He's not the most athletic, but he does have damn long legs.

"Hi Todd!" Bianca greets him cheerfully before planting a kiss to his cheek.

"BEEEE" Cameron shouts, then gives her a kiss on the cheek, smudging some of Riley's pink lipstick on her.

Cameron will kiss you AND YOUR TURTLE!

"Nia!" Cameron says, hands on hips, the remains of pink lipstick still smeared over his lips. "How frisky can I get here?"

"Maybe a couple?" she suggests, wrapping her arms around his shoulders, which she has to stand on her tiptoes to do. "What about you?" she asks. "How's your luck these days?"

People have been kissing Casey FAR TOO TAMELY like DO THEY KNOW HIM? Cameron tackles him to a wall and gives him a kiss with lots of muffled "MWAH MWAH" sounds.

"KIRK!" Cameron gives him a big kiss on the cheek.

"MARCH TWENTY FIVE, WHAT'S MY SIGN?" Cameron yell asks.

"If I kiss you, are you going to steal my voice?" Cameron asks.

After a thoughtful head tilt, Lucas decides, "Naw. I mean, they both have romance systems? But totally different games, otherwise."

He pops the stylus out and taps through a few screens, showing off the basic systems. "This is more tactical. Even the romance. You're hooking everyone up. And then they have kids? And the kids stats are improved based on the parents. So you if you're playing on hard mode you kinda want to maximize stats and pair the best people and--" Lucas looks up from his DS at Essie, blinking. "Wow explaining this out loud makes it sound really messed up." And then a beat. "But some of the S-rank scenes are worth it."

He offers the DS to her. "You want to check it out?"

"Cameron!" Bianca peeps, still finding him incredibly cute despite her feeling for Milo. She touches her cheek in complete awez "T-Thanks!"
