Those dudes' reigns were pretty far apart, huh? Bet it was old Charlie. Falling off a wall seems like a good, friendly cover for being executed.

The book I have also says some attribute it to Cardinal Wolsey [. . .] or a particular cannon involved in the Siege of Colchester.

So Humpty Dumpty could've been a cannon? Aw. Deffo my least fave of the options.
