CANADIAN THANKSGIVING
CANADIAN THANKSGIVING
Hi everyone, welcome to Canadian Thanksgiving. It's just like American Thanksgiving, only earlier, and probably better. Everyone in this school who has lived in Canada for even a second is invited, and can invite their friends if they really want to. Dinah even invited her son, Lazer, and he's from, like, Arkansas.
It's not a big production, but there's food, there's friends, and there's good conversation. Come gather around the table, eat some delicious food, and try to not feel homesick. Maybe they can all come to a consensus on what movie has the most cute boys in it.
After dinner is over, Paige Ripley is running the Hand Turkey Crafting Station! There's construction paper, pens, feathers, glitter, like whatever you might need to make a truly badass hand turkey. After you're done, put a blindfold on and play Pin the Hat on the Turkey! Stick your turkey to the wall and help it get a beautiful new accessory, because literally no outfit can't be improved by a pilgrim hat.

Pie-Eating Contest: Ennis Harper brought a lot of extra pies. Hope you saved room for some VICTORY.

How's the hand turkey looking?: Nisha's hand turkey looks what I imagine a hand turkey that has seen the true horrors of war would look like. Also, somehow she managed to give her hand turkey five finger feathers? It's a mystery. Maybe the hat will help him to cope.
What's your technique?: Eyes closed head first can't lose

How's the hand turkey looking?: Well, the hand outline is very precise. That's... about all that can be said for it.
What's your technique?: NO CHEATING. But, okay, if you are cheating, just say so here.

How's the hand turkey looking?: This is a pretty fancy looking turkey if you like piles of blue glitter. It's also been charmed to squawk when approached by sharp objects so that's like MAYBE cheating but really it's just SELF-PRESERVATION FOR THE TURKEY.
What's your technique?: Definitely doing this before attempting to commit death by pie.

How's the hand turkey looking?: Rupert thinks this is VERY IMMATURE but... also... it looks kind of fun, so he gives in. His turkey isn't perfect, but he clearly has artistic flair - he's drawn on an Elizabethan ruff because he's got to make this about Shakespeare somehow. He adds just a touch of purple glitter on its feathers, because nothing is allowed to outshine that ruff.
What's your technique?: Though he doesn't cheat and will act very 'whatever' about the whole thing, Rupert's going to be crazy offended if he does poorly ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ DON'T BETRAY HIM, HAND TURKEY.

How's the hand turkey looking?: Grace is neat and thorough but not terribly artistic, resulting in a turkey that's perfectly traced and perfectly cut out and uniformly colored (with a brown body, brown and black striped finger-feathers, and a red head). It's very boring. After Rupert points this out to her, she sulkily makes a little bow for it out of construction paper. ...She feels very silly about this.
What's your technique?: Panicked guesswork, really.

How's the hand turkey looking?: Ennis has some big ol' hands. His palms are wide and his fingers are exceptionally long. The feathers on his turkey are kind of smushed together because he tried to keep his fingers close in order to fit his whole hand on the page. For someone so artistic, his turkey kind of looks like shit.
What's your technique?: Hand out so he doesn't bump face-first into the wall. He might jam his fingers, though.
