Hey guys, guess what???

It's almost time for MOTHER FUCKIN HOCKEY!!!

WHICH MEANS: Sign-ups are a thing!! Rosy ~~Stokes~~ Stoker and I are taking care of the league this year, so you'll be in good, slightly aggressive hands ♥ Next week we'll hold a bootcamp to help with some general hockey biz; it's gonna be on the Quid pitch since the lake isn't quiiiite primed yet.

RULES

PLAY BY THE RULES.
Only protective gear you have to wear is a helmet (but feel free to come looking like the Pillsbury Doughboy.)
You can join or leave whenever*, but it's obvs easier for everyone if you just stick around. (Also we're a lot of fun. Come on.) *unless your name is Todd
Items banned on the ice: jewelry, watches, ipods (please pay attention to the game), wands, shivs.
Good sportsmanship is a MUST, but some level of sass is expected, accepted, ........and maybe a little encouraged.
No all out brawls. :( We understand that with checking things can kinda get nasty and little fights are a part of the game, but like... we can't do the five million people shit show again. Mufferaw was not happy.

PERSONAL CONTACT POLICIES aka CHOOSE-YOUR-BRUISE

Color-coded badges that show how mauled you want to get (provided by us) are required.
You have to keep them on.
You have to tell us what color you want - and make good choices. If you get major hurt because you chose red and you didn't want to actually get hurt... that's on you.
This is a two strikes system, people - first offense for intentionally hitting above someone's badge grade = 1 game suspension. Second offense = you're out of the league. And we'll KNOW it's you (the badges tell us and also there's gonna be a ref.)
Your badge color ALSO defines the amount of damage you can dish out - e.g. a green badge isn't allowed to full body check anyone.

Levels of contact are:

GREEN: ~~Sweet delicate flower~~ Contactless gentle soul.
ORANGE: Love taps only.
PURPLE: Middle of the road - everything but full body checks.
RED: Yolo (a.k.a. "BEAST MODE", a.k.a. You'll probably break something.) This is the only level where body checks are allowed.

TEAMS

Rosy and I are your team captains/overlords.
We'll do our best to spread years, skills, and badge levels evenly across the two teams.
If for some reason you've got a problem with your team let us know. But also there are legit two teams so there aren't a lot of options for moving people.
Teams'll mostly stay the same through the season unless we need to do some rearranging for joiners/leavers or internal drama.

GAMES

Games are spiced up by various fun things!! (Like, last year the colors of the goals and pucks changed and you could only score when they matched.) Expect this again! It'll be a surprise each game, but in general the rules of hockey will stay intact.
Healer Mufferaw loves us (probably) so he'll be at games (maybe with some help??) to tend to our inevitable wounds.
Hey guess what it's going to be cold as balls, especially when the game is in the evening. We'll have hot chocolate at every game to warm you up, but also warming charms are a thing.
SPECTATING IS ENCOURAGED!!! Come watch us hurt each other ♥
