Strapping knife shoes to your feet and learning to navigate a hard, unforgiving surface could possibly be a VALUABLE LIFE SKILL.

Mostly one, a bit of three. I doubt any Guys are going to be terribly impressed by me teetering around the ice on "knife-shoes". Unless the appeal is that they want to run to my side and save me from falling on my arse, which isn't my style.

Well, you can snowplow, hockey stop, T-stop (blegh), stab your toe pick (don't do that), or ram yourself bodily into something.

I can teach you the first two, and the third I GUESS but why would you T-stop, don't recommend the fourth because you will eat it, and the last definitely has its moments if you've built up enough speed to make it count.

Don't know the difference between any of those but you seem to have some strong opinions on T-stopping

Well, there's TECHNICALLY two types of T-stops, but they're fucking lame not really useful for hockey.

Snowplow is the easiest for beginners for sure, so we could start you on attempting hockey stops once you've gotten good at SPs.
