SCHOOL TRIP: Seniors

Ah, Paris. The city of love. This weekend it will be host to Gooseberry's senior class as part of their school trip. The weather's a little rainy, but not cold. The clouds and afternoon drizzles add a bit to the ambience.

Students are given packets that contain their hotel room key, museum pass, allowance, a map of the city and its Floo network, the itinerary, and a basic list of rules. For the most part, it looks like they'll have a lot of freedom, so long as they don't break any rules. "We want you to explore the city as independent young adults," says Mr. Calderon-Boot. "We're trusting you, so don't let us down."

HOW THIS WORKS

The senior class is going to Paris, France! They'll be staying at the Hotel Les Theatres. Rooms can either have two twin beds, two queen sized beds, or one queen sized bed.

Students will have to go through international magical customs, so they can't have any contraband in their bags, such as weapons or drugs. They will be travelling via the Floo network to the Parisian Magical Transportation & Travel Station, after which they'll be taken to their hotel.

For the two non-travel days, in the morning there will be a set school activity that's mandatory, and in the evenings students can do whatever they want to.
- Friday: Palace of Versailles, the Catacombs. Students leave at 9:00 AM, and return to the hotel at 3:00 PM
- Saturday: Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, Notre Dame. Students leave to see the city at 9:00 AM, and return to the hotel at 3:00 PM
Students are given an allowance of €40 (~$50) per day for food and leisure. They have student passes to get into museums, gardens, etc. with no charge, and the hotel has a free continental breakfast. Any room charges will come out of your character's allowance. They may spend their own personal money however they please.

The staff are aware that many of the seniors are of legal drinking age in France. They simply ask students not to overdo it, and to contact a staff member if they ever get stranded or drink too much. They won't get in trouble.

Curfew is 12:00 AM. Teachers will come through to make sure everyone is in their rooms. Reid Wainwright has a curfew of 10:00 PM as a consequence of skipping Cotillion.

Nia holds up the bottle of Tears for Rears in one hand. "Me," she says after knocking back a pregame shot with the other.

"Hey girl, what's your love stuff smell like?" She's talking about Amortentia, but, like, she's not about to make that obvious.

Where's the camera? Because Nia looks right at it. A straight-up Jim Halpert face.

"Like half the perfumes and colognes in the school. Li--flowers. And, like," her face scrunches up as she recalls her most recent dance with Amortentia. "Cigarettes and olive oil, last time I smelled it? Weird as fuck."

Nia, Nia, Nia. Considering you're raising a trio of children together, you're not the most open book, but Ursula will start things off with a silly question. "Which of the children is your favorite?"

"Kriley," she says without hesitation. "I appreciate her willingness to wait for exactly what she wants. And what she wants is a tacky as hell new shell."

Ursula can't disagree. She also needs to start ramping up these questions. Which.. she doesn't exactly do yet. "And of their human counterparts?"

Nia squints, waggles her finger at Ursula and then extends it out for a coat of paint while taking another shot. "Breakin' my balls, Octoprincess."

Ursula reaches into the scatter of nail polish and snorts gracelessly as she reads the label for #17, Size Matters. As she smugly (and unevenly) applies the red polish, she asks, "You can only make out with one Gooseberry student for the rest of your life, who do you pick?"

"If you have a favorite crab, do you," Addy pauses to reach out a falsely accusatory finger, "ALSOOOO have a favorite SUBJECT, Queen Nia?"
It's probably not the first time Addy's addressed her as such since her Maleficent debut.

Nia laughs and dramatically pushes a bit of her hair out of her face. "Why, Herbology, of course."

That's not...Nia...come on.

Addy narrows her eyes a little. She's not getting away this easy. "AS IN minion. Lesser. Underclassperson or peer!"

"Oh, that's super easy, my dear," Nia says before taking a shot and presenting her hand for a single coat of #42, Sexy Plunge.
