ESB DRUNK BONDING

After several awkward revelations, the vibe in the Ebonhide senior boys' cabin has been... weird. How will they get over this? Hugs?? Honest conversation??? Emotional vulnerability???? FUCK NO, it's time to lock the cabin door and play a dumb drinking game. Crack open the secret floor space for contraband, retrieve the tiny animal party hats, and let's get drinking, gentlemen.

HOW THIS WORKS

• This takes place the evening of Tuesday, March 13. Hopefully either you don't have morning classes tomorrow, or someone thought to buy some hangover potions from Addy Foster-Hayes. ...Okay, I just looked it up, the first class tomorrow is Charms. WHATEVER. THEY NEED THIS.


• Drinking game tonight is Never Have I Ever. Rules are simple: everyone takes turns sharing something they've never done before, and everyone who has done the thing must take a shot. If no one takes a shot, the original asker must take a shot. Everyone keeps playing until they're too drunk and/or the game becomes too embarrassing.


• ALSO Fuck Marry Kill, I mean why not, we're trying to get really drunk here.


• Party hats for pets are mandatory. YES EVEN FOR NELL THIS IS BONDING CASPER LET YOUR DAUGHTER HAVE FUN

Ebonhide Senior Boys

The cabin door magically locks behind them now, but Iliya goes through the motions anyway of unlocking and relocking the door anyway for the loud, satisfying click. For all his shyness, he's fully capable of Ebonhide dramatics when he feels driven.

And he's driven today. "Everyone close their books," he announces to his roommates (and roommates' pets). "We are celebrating." He reaches into his bag and pulls out a bottle, with a colourful strawberry-emblazoned label that suggests he got it from Kenzie.

Casper, who already glanced up from his Defense Against the Dark Arts textbook at the sound of the locking door, looks at Iliya somewhat reluctantly. Despite his efforts, he's been tense and subtly awkward around the other boy ever since last week and now is no exception. So it's a bit of a relief when he spots the vibrant bottle he's holding and has something else to think about; how fucking sweet that stuff has to be. He makes no attempt to hide his distaste.

"...Celebrating what?" He makes no move to close the book just yet.

Drunk Talk

While the decision to switch to water will probably help at some point, Casper's still quite drunk by the time the game of FMK begins to wind down. He decides to give up on sitting and the currently-overwhelming task of balancing himself, instead lying back on the floor and letting his bleary eyes close for a moment. He's dizzy and disoriented but more relaxed than he's been in quite a while and listening to his friend's voices as the discussion of...whoever (he can't quite remember) carries on without him is nice. This is how it should be.

When the talk lulls for a moment, he opens his eyes and turns his head to look at Iliya. He smiles a little. "...Hey. You're good. This was a good idea, I mean. It's good to talk again." That hadn't come out quite like he'd hoped and he shakes his head, looking at the ceiling instead and adding dryly, "Even with shitty strawberry vodka." A bottle they'd worked through and discarded some time ago. But still.

Drunk Talk

Cameron sits in the floor with his back against one of the cabin chairs, a plush blanket tossed around his shoulders. He has his knees bent toward him, tapping a meandering rhythm on the wood floor with his toes.

“I like it,” Cameron protests, though he takes another sip of water. He’s not exactly sure who put the bottle in his hands, but he’s been nursing it for several minutes. Then, after a too long pause, “Knew you couldn’t ignore us forever.”

"Never have I ever... sung karaoke." This is honestly underhanded, but Iliya knows Cameron will forgive him. Iliya pours him a shot of strawberry vodka to make up for it.

While Casper has spent the whole year being reluctant to get drunk because of his many responsibilities and Gooseberry's many potential-perils, the pull of something that will let him relax and feel normal with his roommates again had been too much for him to scowl and rationalize his way out of. So he'd agreed and joined his roommates and let Nell have a tiny hat even though she should still probably be grounded. He looks at each of his roommates, considering, then puts out his first challenge for the night.

"Never have I ever...cried to avoid getting in trouble." This isn't a guarantee like Iliya's karaoke. But he's got a feeling.

"Never have I ever..." Cameron chews his lip, looking around the rest of the people in the room, trying to find some four way link that won't catch him as well. "Fallen off of a broom."
