I know it's not as exciting as unicorns or swarms of butterflies, but I saw some brilliant birds out in the woods during Outdoor Exploration yesterday, including three different warblers that were still on my list. I think I might go out again today with my camera and see if my luck holds up if anyone wants to come along.
[...] Back in time for the Quidditch match, of course.
[...] (A
hooded warbler, a
black-throated blue warbler, and a
hermit warbler for any curious ornithologists.)
[Jaime, Ennis, Phin & Addy]I still can't believe you all got up there a Congratulations on your various bidding wars yesterday. That was quite a sight. We never did anything like
that at Hogwarts.
[...] Hopefully, I'll still get to see you all at the dance now that you're officially VIPs.
Are you all going to the match later?
[Hermeticism Students]Hey lads and lasses. I finished grading the last batch of quizzes for Ms. Vector and I'll be handing them back this week. And there are a few things I wanted to mention.
First, if you aren't satisfied with your marks or if you don't think you've got a thorough understanding of the material, I'd encourage you to come see me so we can work on it or find a study partner. Having a good grasp on the fundamentals is going to be critical from here onward and everything's going to build on what we're doing now.
Second, try to make sure your work is clear. Being haphazard with the terminology or the symbology in this class is going to get you into trouble. Be precise and make sure everything is legible. There are a few of you that I'll want to touch base with this week to get clarification on your work. I won't do that after this week
and I'm pretty sure Ms. Vector wouldn't do it at all.
Sorry if it seems like I'm getting on anyone's case. But I figured now is better than later when it comes to grades.
