[This is a small glass jar of what is really just a simple suspension containing ingredients that interact interestingly/harmlessly. They spark off against each other in colorful flashes, creating the illusion of very quiet fireworks. It's temporary, but display-able for the next few days, at least. Right after she delivers this...thing, Addy's hiding behind a tall human and saying oooh a lot to make the display convincing and 4th of July-y]

A delighted shriek rises up across the cafeteria and Nia stares for a long, quiet moment in awe of the marvel set out before her. Addy gave her fireworks. Once she's able to tear herself away, she hunts down Addy and practically leaps into her arms.

"You are the mad scientist of my dreams," she says. "I can't wait for prom!"
