Good morning Gooseberry!
For those unaware, there have been several confirmed mimic sightings on the edge of campus in the last week or so. I'd like to remind everyone to be cautious, especially while out on the trails. Obey curfew and always travel with a buddy. If you're unsure about the validity of someone's identity remember to verify them with your journal. These creatures
can read minds, so passcodes or other signals will likely not work.
Unfortunately, it has recently come to light that basic hexes may not work against them, anymore. For this reason, I'm urging you:
do not engage with a mimic if you encounter one. Leave their presence and seek help.
This is stressful and frightening for all of us, but we can power through. Two months left, everyone! We can do this! And, in the meantime, I promise as soon as we have some
good news, Ferdie and I will share it with you.
[Student Authority]Hi guys. We aren't the cops, and you can't always control the actions of your peers, but please do your due diligence. If your friends are planning something dangerous and you can tell it's not just a joke - because we all like to joke about that sort of stuff once in a while - try to dissuade them. If you are genuinely concerned for your classmates' safety, you can always go to your senior prefect, Ferdie, myself or even a member of the faculty.
