Everybody survive the first day of class? New kids settling in all right? How's the new Potions teacher? Actually, let's not talk about any of that, because there are infinitely more important things happening THIS SATURDAY. Yes there are Quidditch tryouts but most importantly:

That's right, Coppertale, I AM CAPTAIN CHEERLEADER for the second year running! So dust off your pompoms, warm up your high kicks, and come on out to join the BEST CHEER TEAM IN THE NATION*. No experience necessary, just impress us with your enthusiasm and style and I'll personally whip you into shape before you can say "V-I-C-T-O-R-Y, WE'RE GONNA MAKE EBONHIDE CRY!"** In addition to bouncing around the field during Quidditch games, showing off your gorgeous legs and spirit fingers, you also get to spend ALL YOUR FREE TIME*** WITH ME AND MY LOVELY LADIES OF CHEER! And if that doesn't sound like a good time to you, you're wrong.

I've decided I like Tuesdays. Three hour lunch after my first two classes, History of Magic to finish, then Equestrian Club.

It felt good to get my cello out again in Music - I'd not had the time since we got back to Gooseberry. It's been an artsy kind of day.

Took a long route back to the cabins today. Jay, Rattlesnake, Gila Monster, looped around the Oak, Bear, Bear Cub, Moose, Coyote. Most convoluted route I've done in a while, I reckon.
