I'm in Ribbonfin! Which is brilliant because green is one of my favourite colours and everyone's been so nice in helping me get settled in my cabin. I'm not entirely sure I know my way around yet since my orientation was a bit disorientating but at least I got to see a lot of the woods! I love that the forest here isn't forbidden. That does mean it's safe, right?

Oh and I have a question for my fellow trouts --

wait do we call each other trouts? That doesn't sound very flattering.

A word of advice from another foreigner - when you're in a new place like this, making assumptions about intent will not get you very far. It comes off as rude and defensive, so you might want to check with your housemates about that.

Thanks. I don't think I was being rude, and he started it anyway, but I've heard British and American humour can be very different so I guess I should be careful.
