I'm in Ribbonfin! Which is brilliant because green is one of my favourite colours and everyone's been so nice in helping me get settled in my cabin. I'm not entirely sure I know my way around yet since my orientation was a bit disorientating but at least I got to see a lot of the woods! I love that the forest here isn't forbidden. That does mean it's safe, right?
Oh and I have a question for my fellow trouts --
wait do we call each other trouts? That doesn't sound very flattering.

I -- oh bother, I can't remember! I'm sure it'll come back to me.

I think people will say "fish" if they have to name any animal. But perhaps we should change that up? We could all call each other fellow rainbows.
no subject
Oh, that makes sense! Fellow rainbows sounds lovely. Rainbow is my mum's name, actually!

It's as safe as any other wild area, which just means you've got to be careful and know what you're doing. Are you taking Outdoor Ed? Mr. Thorn will teach you how to be safe in the forest.

I am! I'm really looking forward to it, actually. We don't have anything like that at Hogwarts.

Welcome to Gooseberry and Ribbonfin! It's just wonderful here. You are going to love it!
no subject
Thank you! I'm sure I will! In your opinion what's one thing I shouldn't miss out on doing this year?
no subject
It's safe, probably. Sometimes I feel a bit weird out there. Lone Wolf Island is weirder thoughh
