On Thursday the 1st, Jade, Essie, Solomon and I went to a party at the Sorting Cave with a handful of our friends. It was a birthday party for Jade and she didn't invite you. We all got too drunk to sneak back into our cabins and slept at Ribbonfin that night.

On Saturday the 3rd, Calvin, Jade and I tried to lure a Hogwarts student into the woods to scare her at a fake seance. We couldn't convince her, and went out into the woods anyway. That was when we spoke to the thing that called itself Henry and saw the headless corpse. Solomon wasn't there.

You've already told the adults without our permission, because it's up to just a few of you to decide what's good for all of us. So explain in detail why other students can't know what actually happened.

If people should know, then why not make a list of people that should know, and ward them privately? People we know won't turn us in. Who can distribute the knowledge without outing anybody involved? Nobody has to know who was involved to begin with. This is not about credit. This is about information we have that they don't have, and information they have that we do not have.

This is not about credit. This is about protection. Secrecy is becoming increasingly dangerous and increasingly selfish.

The adults already know about what happened in the forest. They didn't shut the school down then. I don't see why knowing more of us went or not would change their opinion on keeping the school open or closed.
