KISSING DAY

RULES

Kissing Day is the day before the summer solstice! It's considered good luck to get kissed today, and bad luck and a year of loneliness if you don't get a kiss, or if the object of your affection refuses a kiss from you.

The melodrama of what it means if you don't get the right kiss can vary, so feel free to have your characters be incredibly melodramatic or extremely exasperated over this superstition.

Simply comment with your character's name and form below, and then respond to others who have posted their characters!

Some students may be under the impression that more kissing = more luck. Will anything special happen if you collect the most kisses? (... probably not, but you'll sure feel loved.)

Charlie corners him in the morning, holding Firewater up to him expectantly. When he barks out a slur at Ty, she grins.

"Ooh girl I can't deny that!" Sam makes sure to get a kiss on her cheek and stays very still for maximum lipstick staining.

Receptiveness: He's fine with it? Like - okay? Sure? Affection from his friends is always cool. Certain people will fluster the hell out of him, but that's okay too. And he'll dole them out very politely when the recipient doesn't seem to mind. (He's definitely going to plaster kisses all over Gabi's face - but that's some pretty standard Monday stuff right there, anyway. And he can't let her have bad luck.)

Addy will kiss both the frog and his girl, and they will both be on the tops of their heads, and she will only have to jump for one of these

Ty offers Sofia a small grin at this and taps his cheek. "Of course! Hit me!" He'll return the favor too.

Laurel gets bird hugged and also kissed

Diego hems and haws because a kiss from an ex-girlfriend is totally questionable, right??? But once again, Diego probably hasn't told someone "no" in years, and he's being ridiculous about this anyway. "Okay, okay," he relents.

Okay, Riley's definitely safe, right? She only likes girls. Although Diego did kind of have a crush on her for a while. Oh, no, now it's weird again. But she looks so sad??? "You'll definitely see me again," he promises, and kisses her forehead.

Here is another cheek she has to jump to kiss but ooooh she does

When Charlotte sees that mop of hair from the corner of her eye, she pivots on a heel and stalks him down the hallway. "Kowalski!" she calls, lifting up a loosely closed fist as if holding something in it, "You dropped this!"

When he turns, if he turns, she goes in for the attack on the poor boy, aiming to mush her lips against his lips.

"No need t'worry about me and my fate." Calvin waves his hand at Micah, and resists looking at him for a little bit longer. "I'm embracin' it. I want to be cursed. Keep your lucky lips away from me, St. Clair. Go aim them at someone who'll appreciate it."

Maggie slides up next to her as Dahlia's getting ready for the day and plants a kiss on her cheek.

His pint-sized bodyguard is reporting for duty.

Her payment will be taken in not letting anyone else kiss him. She's satisfied by it. She'll accept her own kisses too. But she would like it to be known that she's still satisfied without them.

Of course Lucas turns. And then he gets a faceful of Charlie Meer, his eyes giant, arms pinwheeling. He's just kind of speechless afterward. Except he does manage to say, "Um," which is, like, real cool of him.

Cecil would've knelt for Riley if he'd seen her coming. As it is, though, he just looks startled and does his best to steady her once she's back on the ground after her daring feat. He smiles, expression both affectionate and relieved, before kissing her once on the cheek and once on the top of her pink curls. "Fearless, aren't you?" he teases, "You should be careful, Riley."

Receptiveness: Desperate for affection but trying to play it cool. She won't turn down chaste kisses, but she's keeping a cautious eye on Riley Mae.

At a time of day, Jade comes up to Lucas and stands with lips puckered like she is thinking of kissing him.
And then, in some delight, or mercy? She shakes her head and does not kiss him. "No. You're cursed."

"Cursed." Jade leans almost in to his cheek just to say that.

"Get ready, gorgeous! Luck is coming your way," Ana announces with a grin and a wink as she prepares to plant one on Charlie.

"You're definitely cursed."
Says a voice next to Essie's face, very serious and probably far too close. She is also not kissed. Jade is by now delighted.

For a second, Lucas looks like a cat that just heard something heavy fall in the next room. But then he relaxes. "Thank you," he gushes. A curse from Jade is a valuable gift. He will treasure it.

Calvin. CALVIN. Ana fixes him with a pout whenever he refuses. She even adds "But what if you forget all about us here and I never see you again?! HOW WILL I SURVIVE WITHOUT A KISS" She may be hanging out with Micah too much...

"I'm cursing you too." Jade informs Ari, not even bothering to look like she would otherwise kiss her.

"My beautiful captain!" Marilyn swoops in and plants a kiss on Avery's cheek with a smile.
